OMG... This really took me by surprise! I dont't know about you guys but my hype for this game just skyrocketed! Personally I'd never really thought about how AC might work in a modern/futuristic setting, but this is certainly an interesting twist!

I think they're taking the franchise back to its roots by implementing a massive urban environment, not to mention the rich historical context. Assassin's Creed is supposed to be a stealth game set in important times in history. Running around in fields or sailing in the seas isn't exactly stealthy, so I welcome the changes that are being made in Unity. Of course, this is my opinion and you are certainly entitled to yours, but to say that this game will flop because of its setting...
I'm glad they finally nerfed the parkour guards. Nothing throws off immersion like being chased around on rooftops by guards from the damn Foot Clan or something, when you're supposed to be the only master parkour artist in town xD
So, 30,000 AI, seamless indoor/outdoor exploration, seamless online co-op free roam, totally revamped parkour and combat mechanics, and the sheer size of the map itself are not enough to consider this title as next-gen? :/
Also, they delayed the launch by two weeks, not one month. I doubt they could dramatically change any core mechanics in such a short window of time; they basically need that time for polishing. Besides, no one has played the game yet, so there's no base...

I agree, the multiplayer on gta4 felt lacking, but in the end I'm sure that R* gathered a lot of feedback from gta4 as well as RDR (which is tons of fun)
Leave it to R* to create a humongous game with the sole purpose of bringing people together to have fun in missions or in nonsensical chaos around a whole city. The amount of time and effort that was put in this was astounding, and even more amazing is the fact that they did it with current-gen consoles.

DICE is making it, and to be honest, I think they are capable of delivering a proper feel to the game. After all, they've been listening to a lot of feedback and paying attention to the community lately.

Quite old news. Skyfall has been around since launch! Although I think it's cool that you can now enter cheats through your phone, just like GTA4.
