Nobody complained because it had all the big name characters from all the IPs Nintendo had at the time other than Fire Emblem. Plus in that gen you couldnt really complain since the internet wasnt as big as it is today.
That depends. If its like FFXIII-2 where its used for story then yes its bad. But if its purely cosmetic stuff then it can be pretty cool.
I always wished these worked more like gift cards where they have a value of whatever you want to pay for it. That way you can just for whatever amount you'd need or want.
