I think a lot of negative comments here basically expressed what I've felt while playing Skyrim, beautiful game I must admit but the devil is in the details.
As someone said, Skyrim shouldn't be excessively praised, they feel they've succeeded with the masses, the money, GOTY and don't learn from any critism.
Next thing you know, the sequel is simply recycled. hype it, then it's 11-11-11 all over again.

It's funny I have no recollective memory of Syphon Filter, although I completed 2 of them on the PS1. I remember nothing about it. I only recall it being awesome & definitely ahead of its time. I was later puzzled as to why i no longer heard any new news about it.
Last time I checked the technology to make Doom 4 possible still doesn't exist.
Also, John Carmack can't do it on his own, There won't be a true doom sequel without John Romero present in his prime.
Last time I checked, Japanese target everything & anything.. and more! .. that's what's so great about them. But granted, having such a unique recognition to the world, this still is just another one of the many things they do wrong.
