I can't believe this is the best that GameFreak could come up with. The had the Breath of the Wild engine pre-built for them, for f*ck sakes. All they had to do was change the character models, add in more buildings, and stop time for turn-based attacks.
Colosseum was on the GameCube. The ones on N64 were Pokemon Stadium 1 & 2.
Nuances aside, I agree with you completely. The animations are absolutely atrocious.
The number of Pokemon in the game doesn't bother be in the slightest. My issue is, even with the extremely limited number of Pokemon in the game, they STILL couldn't add real battle animations. They essentially copy-pasted all of the animations from Pokemon Stadium. That is just lazy as f*ck.
Yeah, the region exclusivity garbage is really dumb, but it's easy enough to make a USAnian or Canadian account and download it.
