While Sony may have good graphics, Nintendo has games that are more fun to play than PS3. Graphics are important but they don't make a game. Fun and enjoyability are what games should be about.
This game looks nothing new or really worth it. There is no innovation there. Even have a look at watch dogs, at least it's trying something new with the open world genre.

Agree.. I can understand GoW franchise fatigue over other large franchises. The difference is pretty much every GoW game has been exactly the same, with a few differences here and there. A series like Halo, for example, has tried different things throughout the series.

It's not that a specific game can ruin an entire genre, it's just that lazy devs feel that they can cash in on a fad by copying what they think is popular, instead of taking the time to create something interesting and original. You really shouldn't blame COD for this.
I don't know, there are many name brand Blu-ray players for under $100 these days, so if you're not going to use the PS3 for gaming, it might be more economical to go with a standalone player.
The numbers are not underwhelming for Vita this week, I'd say they're surprisingly good. That said, two weeks are not going to save a system and given the known releases for Vita the future still looks grim in Japan..

So far,I feel Microsoft would have to fuck up pretty hard to lose next gen. They are aiming for the bigger picture, looking to command the living room, sony's vision is more limited for PS4.

I'm not surprised some reviews have reviewed it in the lower or upper 7s instead of 9's. From the offset I felt GOW Ascension simply was not as ambitious as like PS2 games ( GOW 2 still best in the series), and needed to do more to set itself apart. I didn't even like Kratos in this game..

Reboot? RE6 was their chance at a reboot and they ruined it. I think they should do remakes, give RE2 and RE3 the treatment that they gave RE1 on the Gamecube.
