When I was in Basic Training for the Army, one of my Drill Sargeants was an Army Ranger Sniper. I once asked him what his favorite weapon was; He slightly smiled, and said "The Barret 50 Cal, one shot to the stomach splits people in half."
If you knew this, maybe you wouldn't consider a .50 cal sniper rifle, that sometimes takes 2 shots for a kill in COD, overpowered. No scoping is bullshit, however.
That looked...so much better than I thought it would. This needs to be picked up by somebody!
"I can only wholeheartedly recommend this to people who really, really adore that time period and its design decisions"
I have NEVER considered myself an 80's fan at all, and I loved this game. So if I took this authors advice, I would've never had tried this game..
@Hydrolex's "immature" comment.

All in good fun :)
^THIS.
They won't
Agreed, it's still too early to make that decision for me. I'll probably end up getting both games, lol
I personally don't recall them bringing up interiors but either way, like porkChop said, the map will be MASSIVE. Don't worry about that...
Dido, I personally liked these commercials. Although I can definitely see how not everyone would...
Some of you guys on here are making too much sense right now, is this still N4G?
"Here's to hoping they can continue to walk the tightrope...change enough to keep it fresh while keeping ppl happy."
That's EXACTLY what they've been doing, and it is a fine line to walk on. Haters want a complete overhaul (to something that will not make it the cod that millions love) and the fans will not want that.
^ Still SMH. As Michael Jackson would say, you're just ignorant :p Btw, this whole mini-argument is supposed to be about gameplay, but rather stating your case...you bash cod for other reasons. I think the GAME is fun, but I think how Activision takes money from you is BS. I will agree with anyone on that.
"Real Cod players" you mean the 14 year old boys"
Stereotyping is cool, right bro? And no, I mean people with high stats, total logge...
^You people will just never get it. Cod is what it is because its formula works for it. Same goes with many other series'. People will always hate on this game more than others so passionately because of how successful it is. It's a fun/addicting game...get the hell over it. It's also an arcade shooter, not a war simulator. It's gonna be fast, fun, and kinda-simple. Real cod players will know that the competition gets tight too. Go ahead and immaturely mock that statement t...
YOU DON'T!!! It's not Call Of Duty then. SMH, when are you people gonna finally realize that. The gameplay system is NOT broken, period. Why do you think there are so many people addicted to the game? *Shocker* They love playing it.
Want different gameplay, go play a different fps then. Battlefield, Ghost Recon, Counterstrike, MAG, Medal of Honor, FarCry, Homefront, Borderlands, Halo. Need me to list other alternatives that might fit your tastes more?
@Pozzle "You don't think $65 million for a CEO is a bit...exorbitant? "
65 Million is the amount he made total that year, 57 million of that came from STOCKS (INVEST PEOPLE!!) only 2 million of that actually had anything with him being the CEO.
Don't get me wrong, I strongly dislike the guy...but you can't blame him for making $57 million from investing in activision...
Ummm, GT does have competition..just indirectly. But that's actually a good thing ;)
It's nice and all, but personally the next DS3 controller that I'm getting is the new Gold one's. They match my gold guns in COD ^_^
Cell phone's been confirmed for a GTAV return..
Lol all last week RDR, GTA4 and other R* games were all $15 at Target, now with Best Buy it's news. On topic, it's a great that everyone deserves to play.
WOW that's ridiculous
^I agree with you 100% man. You shouldn't be very mobile (at all) with the heavier weapons. Oh well, video games. Also, you're the first person I've seen to mention how the Aim Assist actually screws you over, rather than helping. It's never helped me, it only moves my sights off someone when someone pops around a corner or something.
