I can't speak for all Americans, but we definitely drink our fair share of tea in my house. Ice cold, and loaded with sugar.
I don't know man, the psone/N64 era had a lot of disappointing delays. I remember Ocarina of Time getting delayed repeatedly. It also seems like MGS suffered many setbacks, too. Funny enough, my two most anticipated games in my lifetime, dropped within weeks of each other. Neither disappointed and it was EPIC! That was my favorite Holiday of gaming, EVER! They have all been slightly disappointing since. Haha. I love living in a first-world country.
I'm actually happy about the change. The OLED they used for the vita was so blotchy that it was distracting in darker scenes. That was my only gripe with the vita. LCD corrects that issue. I'll pick one of these up the moment they are available. Plus, you get more accurate colors to boot. I loved that white/green(-yellow?). Looks nice.
I'm seeing impressive displays of denial all over this thread. It is what it is. These things are rarely isolated, but who knows?
I see holes in the bottom of that display case. Many entertainment centers have only a tiny, single, rear hole, so this is hardly an "extraordinary" environment. That's silly damage control talk.
Pretty sure that the name "Homer J. Simpson" is a username, much like those names just above your comments. Unless those names are in-fact your birth-names, he is every bit as credible as any of you using that as the criteria to dismiss this as "doubtful&...
Thanks for the offer, but my wife hugs me pretty hard on the regular. ;)
You mainly game on consoles because your pc won't allow you to otherwise. There really is no logical reason to have a gaming pc, which costs good money, but almost always choose console, because it's somehow "magically better". That would seem a huge waste of money. There are only a handful of console exclusives worth playing. Everything else is on pc, and usually in vastly superior form. There are only a tiny handful of games that are so poorly optimized on pc, that you mig...
Sour grapes from what, exactly? I have both of the consoles pre-ordered. I own a WiiU, 360, PS3, Vita, 2 3DS', PSP, and still have my PS2. I only recently bought my GTX 780 based gaming PC. I haven't missed a AAA game on any console in 15 years. I enjoy gaming enough to drop some serious cash on it.
It's true, though. You guys bicker on here touting, "Xbox can do this, PS4 will be on par with a high-end PC!". Or "PS4 is 50% more powerful than Xbox O...
Sony is the new Nintendo. They sell their systems based on what you might get in the future, but you're gonna have to wait. They delay their games just as much as Nintendo does. They use their first party titles to string you along, spreading them out in a way that makes you feel like there is always that one title to look forward to. They generally release their consoles priced a little on the high side, again like Nintendo. (I've got to say, they hit it out of the park with the ps4 ...
You are adorable, with a quick wit to boot.
"The PS4 is the bestest! Xbox has hidden powerz! My blind dedication has led me to believe that buying a product means that my favorite company loves me for more than my wallet! Hardy, frickin' har."
This site is a joke. All fanboys are ignorant saps below the poverty line who can only afford a minimal amount of technology and pull bs "facts" out of their rear ends, as well as unleashing impressive levels of imagination, to try and "feel better&qu...
@Spicelicka: That is how the A.I. warning systems in US Airforce aircraft were designed. My father said that when they first introduced the systems in aircraft, the voice was a male voice, and they found that the vast majority of pilots would just tune it out, especially under heavy g-force maneuvers.
He said that they decided to switch the voices out with "attractive" female voices, and instantly the pilots were responding to the commands and suggestions. When you ...
@BallsEye: I made the switch a couple of years back and have to agree with you 100%. Plasmas have better black levels than lcd/led, that's an indisputable fact backed by research and science. Black levels can be measured with tools/equipment showcasing light output during dark scenes and black screens. Lcds can't match the deep black levels due to the way the backlight/edgelight illuminates the screen. Burn in is still possible, but is not a permanent issue anymore. You may have slig...
It's not ignorance, I own nearly 100gb of games for primary use on my Vita. It's the fact that I had already played most of them on my PS3, PS2, PS1, or even a tablet, and many of them could be directly played ony PS3 in better form, or as a full featured experience ala Uncharted, LBP, Guacamelee, etc. I have purchased every system Sony has released, and had to have a backup hd because I filled my 500gb with games only. I have owned every version of the ps3 this gen and even went as f...
Yeah, but $30 for 16gb is still ridiculously overpriced in today's market. I've never paid more than $20 for 32gb of sd memory in my life. It's not like the Vita memory offers faster read/write speeds to justify it's inflated price. Other than the fact that they make it a special shape or size, how does it command a 200% increased msrp over similar and faster memory of the industry standard. Don't get me wrong, if you are concerned about if you can afford the memory for th...
But it's not a lack of games, it's a lack of good games that I can only experience on the Vita. Name 10 games that can't be purchased on a tablet, the PS3, or another Sony device in some form. The standouts for me are Escape Plan, Gravity Rush, and the 999 follow-up. Nearly everything else can be played on another platform that a true Sony fan likely owns. Nobody is trying to hurt your feelings by stating that they have been underwhelmed by their $250 purchase, thus far.
@stank08
You might want to be careful, because even though you own it, and want those unique vita experiences, and keep waiting for it show you something that makes you say, "Man, I'm glad I own this device, because it offered me an experience I've never seen before!", you'll be disagreed with to no end or accused of trolling. It doesn't matter that you want to see the system improve and that you dropped the cash as an early adopter. If you don'...
@blackbeld
Really?! So you guys now strong-arm and threaten people who dare to do anything other than fully capitulate at the alter of Sony? I've never seen anything like this place.
Anyhow, he makes a point. If Sony had put any effort into the Vita at all, it would be running neck-to-neck with the 3ds. They have barely marketed it. They haven't pushed for any consistent third-party support. Have barely shown any first-party love for that matter. And...
I'll end the console wars once and for all!
I purchase the Xbox almost purely for it's online connectivity and ease of connecting to multiple players, then moving those players into the same game lobby with you, without interrupting the group-chat. It's the superior online gaming console.
I purchase the Playstation because it will have unique first-party software, and epic single-player experiences that incorporate presentation and style in a way...
I've played Crysis 3 with everything cranked up on PC, it looks that good. Those aren't bullshots. Killzone isn't in the same league graphically, at least not from what I've seen. But I'll find out first hand in 3.5 weeks.
