If rushing the console just to get it out to compete then yes they will do that. Do you not remember the 360? 600$ for a console that will last you 8 years until next gen or 300$ for a console that will last you 4 years until next gen where you will then buy another 300$ console. It's the same thing makes no difference. And what games feel like they're worth 20$?
The only reason the PS3 was 600$ was because of the blu-ray player. It was new at the time and it was actually the cheapest blu ray player on the market. If their console is 600$ this time around then I'm guessing that it will be a powerful beast. This is why I don't mind it costing 600$.
