I'm really happy for him. After having to put up with Activision management and the COD community for all those years, he deserves this.
If this is true, then development hell confirmed. The game probably is going to a complete overhaul. SMH.
I don't know why Ubisoft continually does this with their games.
Why would EA switch Dead Space to the Frostbite Engine? The Dead Space engine is already a propriety engine. They not have to pay any licensing for it. I guess "Powered by Frostbite 2" with be the new marketing slogan EA screams at everyone
I still think that EA is planing on doing this
-Medal of Honor, 2012
-Respawn Game, 2013 nest Xbox launch title
-Battlefield 4, 2014 next Playstation launch
-Start the rotation from the top, 2015
and between all this release BF 2143, Crysis 3 and another Bad Company Game with another studio not DICE.
Crackdown one was a success in sales, Crackdown 2 (code named Crackdown 1.5 internally at MS) was a success in sales. The same core team that did one, worked on the sequel, with the same engine. So people need to quit with this "capable dev" BS. Ruffian turned out a decent game in the time they were given, just 18 months. It showed by the lack of polish in the final product...Crackdown 2 intended to reintroduce the franchise and 3 is suppose to be the first full blown sequel in the ...
I hope this game is getting the proper attention. Gearbox seems stretched waaaay to thin at the moment. 3 games in development, and a 4th one in production. The studio only has like 250 people.
Gears is definitely worthy of a nomination. The gameplay is unique, extremely fun and a welcomed break from all the other FPSs on the market. No other game that involved shooting a gun match Gears 3 when you take into consideration quality( how good it is compared to others)+quantity (how much content on the disc)....There is a sharp drop off from single player to multiplayer in UC3, that's not the case with Gears.
No they're not. Next year Medal of Honor is going to get gangbanged by a Halo 4, COD tag team. Crysis 3 and Respawn's game is still years away, and only other ammo they have against COD is a potential BF3 multiplayer expansion. lol
EA is not taking back the crown any time soon.
MW3 has a much better campaign, much much better co-op and more content on the multiplayer side. You get waaaaay more value with MW3 than BF3. Fanboys aside, COD deserves to sell better.
I don't get why people are still defending DICE and EA after the straight lied to everyone's faces about the content that would be in BF3
2GB is not enough. At least 4GB, 8GB being optimal
I'm sorry but for some reason this cracked me up. lolololol
The XBLA line for next year is looking amazing. MS should really consider spending more money on advertising for online titles, like some adds for TV, magazine ads, soda promotions. They got a couple potential million dollar sellers lined up
Its and Easter egg for Sam Houser's birthday. Nothing to get excited about people
Microsoft owns the IP and it was probably part of the licensing agreement that only a 360 version could be made. PS3 fanboys are just jumping on this to bash MS. They didn't do anything wrong, and Sony would have definitely done the same in their position
People talk down about MS position but I really think they are in the driver's seat. While I don't agree with every decision they make I must say they have rebounded well from all the setbacks they had early in this generation. From RRoD, to Splinter Cell and Alan Wake being delayed over and over, to them losing Mass Effect, Too Human bombing, and many others
And if there is one thing M$ knows how to do well is launch products. I really doubt the next-gen Xbox will be...
Halo, GTA, COD. That's all gamer are getting next fall. Publishers are going to run for cover and delay games into 2013.
I bet it is an exclusive invite to the Medal of Honor 2012 Beta. EA uses the same tricks over and over
I think Battlefield is much further away from beating COD than people realize.
-The hardcore player the multiplayer comes down to preference. If you played enough COD and BF you know which one you like more and you will choose accordingly.
-BF is too hardcore to take away any significant chunk of COD's casual audience. People like this will buy BF3 and get frustrated that is not like COD, they might not say it but that's what all their complaints abo...
So what about the extra time devs have to spend on the PS3 version just to get it to run properly. ID had the PC version and 360 of Rage running at 60fps long before it could figure out how to get the PS3 there. The PS3 probably gets the most attention when it come to developing multi platform games. But when you gotta spend extra time just to get the PS3 version running at the same level as the 360 version, trying to "max out the potential" of the PS3 IS TO MUCH TO ASK.

The game will still have a perk system, still have kill streaks and progressive unlocks. Treyarch can spin it however they want but this game will still be a remix of COD4.
