I completely agree. I noticed Twitter is becoming a cesspool of celebrities who think they know everything.
I believe the reason is probably due to trade ins. Because you'll get more in store credit than cash for selling your games they offset this by increasing the prices they sell the games for. I've bought a second hand game from them close to the cost of buying it brand new but that's because I had in-store credit as it was more cost effective for me.
Yet here in the UK CeX are booming with second hand sales. I think it'll be a while before we see an end of pre-owned sales.

The other Borderlands games had all of that minus the XP boost which doesn't really affect much due to the fact it's not a PVP game.
