Overall, it seems like Alan Wake has underdelivered; therefore, I don't blame anyone. With a metacritic score of 83, a lack of replayability, sub-hd graphics, short campaign, and enduring long delays. It promised to be the best physiological action thriller game to own, but to some it is just a good rent. Too bad. I was excited to play this game for about 3 years - yes, 3 years, check my post comment history - but after waiting for so long and playing it, I'd be lying to myself if I s...
Hopefully it does.
Like 3-4 years ago.
But of course, there is no telling how long they've been working on it.
At some point, I think all gamers find themselves bragging or trash talking every once in awhile. Nevertheless, there are some people that just can't help themselves. It could be a game they've never played in their life and they'll still talk a lot shit. Lol, I find it entertaining.
I didn't have that many problems with the bosses in that game, but getting through some of the levels made me lose it. I found levels 1-3 and 5-2 to be hard. The first time I played through it those giant goblins kept killing me and the poisoned water wouldn't allow me to evade their attacks and kept taking my health away. To make matters worse, I had absolutely no idea where I was going so I was running into packs of giant goblins and black phantoms, which of course killed me instant...
Lol, I still have game. It's scratched up but somehow it still works. Never beat it though.
I beat it on the hardest difficulty too. I found COD4 on veteran to be harder. The beginning levels are very easy on veteran and you can skip most enemies and reach checkpoints. What made it difficult for me was the "No Fighting In The War Room" level. The placement of the enemies and the two hit kills made it nearly impossible to beat. I had to of died over 100 times on that level before I finally beat it. Just thinking about it makes me angry, lol.
"to get find many opinions of substance here because so many of you are just unabashed Sony fanboys. You are so blinded by your love of all things Sony and hate of all things MS, that the things you say are just barely worth reading, we already know what your going to say before you say it. MS is evil and stupid, Sony is god, its always the same with you people. "
Yes, this site is filled with PS3 fanboys yet you can't resist posting on here to complain about it...
There's no point in using blu-ray for Wii games; they have smaller textures and the games are only 480p.
However, I would replace GTA IV with inFamous.
It's the future - accept that and stop trolling.
I have seen a user with more than 3 bubbles. Ironically, its the same user that post nothing but advertising spam. It makes absolutely no sense at all.
The trailers always look good, but the engine is dated. Not to mention, it never maintains that 60fps; The framerate is all over the place.
Just give it some time. It'll get better and cheaper eventually.
These guys are limited by time and money and so are other developers. I doubt we'll ever see a multiplat PS3 title rival GT5's graphics (1080p, 60fps) or gameplay. Developers creating exclusive games can maximize their game on one platform without having to "squeeze" potential in a very short amount of time.
I doubt we'll get the same visual quality as if this were an exclusive. Good graphics make good games even better.
Same with Move. I rarely post on any of the motion control articles because I don't care about them - yet. If the price for natal is true, I'll probably never get it - regardless of how good or bad it is - unless the price comes down and it is in fact fun for more than 10 minutes. If I *had* to choose between Move and Natal and they both had good games that live up to the hype, I would go with Move first, but only because I have the PS Eye.
Play it yourself if you think its a bunches of excuses. I'm not a huge PC gamer and I even know it.
MW2 = $60, took away mods, and no dedicated servers
GTAIV = How good you think it is, is opinion, but the game is terribly optimized and some users still face issues such as hiccups that have never been fixed
AC2 = DRM. You have to be online at all times to play this game. Sure this wouldn't be bad if it was an online-only game but it...
Who knows how it'll do. Is that $150 price official? I must of missed it, but why is everyone running with that price? I also find this comparison awkward.
Oh, and for the record, gimmicks do sell. The Wii is doing just fine.
