And...this is why we get a CoD every year. We can bitch about it, but ATVI is too busy laughing as they deposit their yearly billion.

Secret Invasion... tear forms...

Got this game with my Xbox system bundle. Enjoyed it! A 7.0 imho.

Yes, DIS is getting WAY too much. I know about these deals. You pay a MG up front (500k to 5m) to use the license. Then the royalty after recoup of dev costs is 5-15% depending on IP and if Marvel has a supporting film.

Very true... Hoping Starfield copies their redemption. Cyberpunk finally taught me (Like a Dragon excluded) never to pre-order an open world game again.

I am not confused, one use case (for this price) is unacceptable.

So the Portal is for the person who has their PS5 hooked to one TV that is household shared right? What are the other use cases?

250 developers on it and they STILL can't deliver on the promise post-launch?! Cyberpunk 2077 vibes here. Starfield in Sept 2024 is (maybe) when the fun starts...

Also, Bethesda had/has considerable resources from the XBOX side that were not used to the best effect. The XBOX team, in theory, has the top talent in production, art, design, engineering, QA and usability.

I work in the games industry, with some major titles on my CV. I am now nearly out of the rat race.
Frankly, the design and game cred egos on these development teams get in the way of actually applying data/research on what hooks and loops work. There are more than enough 3rd party game data points for Bethesda (Fallout/Skyrim - Hello!) and from the XBOX team on it (again seasoned veterans who underperformed) to have prevented this. Then to have a 200+ development team drip out ...

Phil and his Executive team are masters at job security and self-promotion. MSFT is a data-driven company right?!
Their HW/SW sales performance data is terrible since 2017, 2023 game management was terrible with a turd in Redfall and a Starfield game full of issues.

Is it fair to say that Sony did not deliver the performance on the now base model? I think yes...
Now charging $$$ for a system that does deliver...is greedy mean.

Nothing really, but I feel he is a masterful self-promoter and his games are good...not great. However, I want him to applaud his team that fulfills his vision and probably is challenge by a pretty big ego.

Has Kojima ever sincerely thanked his development team in the past? I often wonder if these Japanese super creators give credit to their developers for achieving their vision and dealing with their inflated egos...

60fps finally a reality? Playstation should offer a trade-in for the system like Google does for the Pixel phones.

Think about this, XBOX studios have a well-compensated team of people (producers, qa, usability, marketing, art, design, tech) on the publishing side. So far, this year, they have dropped the ball on two AAA games - Redfall and Starfield. Redfall is a hot turd and Starfield is boring. Anger should be directed at the fail town that is XBOX publishing.

Judge was right about not getting a future gig. The games industry, like the film/tv industry, is renowned for blacklisting people for lessor infractions.
