its unfortunate that its not somekind of an official blogg. first useful "hands-on" of ff13 game ive read so far. and i did read all which was linked on n4g...
regarding the topic of the actual news:
whats striking me is that its only liniar up til 20h into the game? so what does that mean? you get more towns and "unlinear" paths after that?
2nd why is it "bad" to have a linear gameplay and lots of cgi movies in the beginning or at all in...

WHAT kind of logic is that? these type of blogs are just stating a well known FACT. which already have been officially announced by SE themselves... it just went into more detail how much and what exactly is probably going to be compressed.

ff12 had an 2mil sold copies on an install base of 10mil++ in japan as far as i can remember. im still betting that ff13 will reach that within 2month mebbe even 1 although ps3 still is just scratching 4mil install base. curious how the hardware sales will end up for dec / jan ^^

beatiful environment and characters. thats what i expect of an aaa class jrpg ^^.
i dont think that it matters. the parfume as well as action figures and drinks are probably going to end up as collectors items. nobodys gonna use those for real.
the posters and soundtrack though might be actually something i might get if they really are good in my taste ^^.

last time i checked: almost everyone owns a pc/laptop = skype voicechat. if you do own a 360 and a ps3 nobody makes you only play on ps3 while not using the xbox. ever heard of using the chat of the xbox360 while playing simultaniously with the ps3? too complex thought process?

its not true that the 360 did not "gimp" the ps3 version. it didnt actually gimp the game but it did gimp us ps3 gamers.
with announcing to go multiplat the release of ff13 was automatically delayed. im sure that we wouldve already been playing the game RIGHT NOW. if it havent been for the extra time they had to put into it to also port it onto another system...

as known and shown by the in depth video analysis the gpu memory is especially used for AA. WHICH would be unnecessary IF all games where at 1080p resolution!
so the point is: if ms would have made the 360 full HD from the start the majority of the studios/dev's wouldnt be "made" to rely on AA and in fact scaling games because each and every new gen game would be in 1080p output on highstoragevolume discs lik...

agree with 1, love the beta too. its REALLY ADDICTIVE. everyone who owns a ps3 should definetly give it a shot and for those who dont: there will be beta for pc in january. not sure about xbox but im pretty sure theyll run a beta there too. i guess its kinda testrun for their servers...

anybody able to load the precinct site? i registered on the psn heavy rain site succesfully now (after xxxx tries) but now the precenct site doesnt load for me AT ALL.
does it load for anybody out there?
