I love zombie games. I got Dying Light because it was that. I hope parkour alone didn't sell anyone on Dying Light. Dead Island's thing is its create-a-weapon. Hopefully its a silly fun time slaying zombies like Dead Island 1 was. Hopefully, at the very least Yeager can concoct a story you semi care about.
Yager did a very nice job telling a real story with Spec Ops The Line. Its actually a very underrated game imho. I was actually looking forward to Dead Island 2 more then Dying Light, knowing the nice job Yager did with Spec Ops.

I don't mind kids games as I grew up on Nintey and I own a Wii U. They just need to be more then a tech show piece like Knack was. An engaging platformer wouldn't hurt.

While you hope people wouldn't politicize this, it is an unfortunate inevitability. There are people probably chomping at the bits to fit this in their agenda.
Ultimately, QTE's were designed when gamers started complaining about just sitting there watching a cutscene. Now, gamers want a full circle, to going back and just watching the cutscene out of shear laziness to press a button. Smh. QTE's will die when games cease to have cinematics. While, there are games based on QTE design, other genres I feel fit with QTES'. Hack n Slashes always have QTEs' that feel good. GOW, MGR, etc. Action/Platformers like Uncharted and Tomb Raider(20...
Heavy Rain was a commercial and critical success. If I recall, TWD Season 1 was also a dominant GOTY winner. I have no problem with games designed around the concept. There is room for games of all kinds in my library. Now when QTE's are shoved in like RE6, Dying Lights' boss(you mentioned), and Shadow of Mordors' boss, it does get disappointing.

Don't know about you, but if someone was responsible for my wife and kids death, I wouldn't rest until there was justice either. Either way, Kratos is more of an anti-hero.
