Definitely not saying the Wii U is out of the game just yet. But when you look at the Playstation 4 and some of the great functionality it's touting, then compare that to the Wii U... well, it shows how much foresight Sony has put into make the PS4 future-proof, at least for the next 5-8 years.
More than before, it has to be about the games for the Wii U to keep people interested.

Apologies, but the point of the article was to say Nintendo is in a dangerous position, not that it's definitely going to fail. They need to ensure that they show developers that it is a viable platform to develop on so that a consistent stream of games will appear on the console.
If a console has no games, it doesn't serve much purpose. It's like trying to shave without a razor.
