PS5 January 2025 sales is 301,863. According to circana PS5 january 2026 sales is down 17% from last year. So...
301,863 - 51317 = 250,546 (estimated sales in january)..
Meanwhile in Japan january 2026 sales. Switch 2 sold 318,816 and PS5 sold 42,929. The Difference is 275k+ units.
So what is the data of #2 console in US for january 2026? I am sure it is not just 100k sold. XD
And because of Demons Souls Remake that I bought a PS5 from scalper worth $700 because I am unlucky enough to secure a pre-order slot for 3 months!
They just acquired it in 2021, it's only been five years, why do they need to close it? Bluepoint was doing fine as an independent, why did Sony buy it?
Really weird right? First Japan Studio, now Bluepoint? WTF, this is really annoying! I just commented on the other article that it's okay not to release the PS6 yet because I'm still waiting for the games made by Bluepoint for the PS5.

I'm not sure if you'll like it, but I'm a fan of the Final Fantasy and Tales series when I played XC2 for the first time on Switch 1, and I was immediately hooked by the beautiful world, likeable characters, and awesome battle system. I liked it even more than Tales of Arise on PS5. Arise was a bit more linear compared to the previous Tales games, but still a great game though.

The only reason I bought PS5 during launch is because of their game. For me until this day, Demon's Souls is one of the best looking PS5 exclusive. This is really a very sad news.

And the Claws of Awaji expansion will arrive on March 10. This is the only thing missing from the Switch 2 version to make them identical in content to the console versions.
Nintendo is making a bunch of announcements for the Switch 2 lately. AC Shadows, Skyrim, and Subnautica updates. And now, one of my most anticipated Switch 2 editions has shadow dropped.
I immediately purchase the Switch 1 edition for $30!!!
I don't care if it gets delayed or not. What's important to me is that the next game from Bluepoint and Naughty Dog will still be released on my PS5.

There are now water reflections on switch 2. And I already tested the update. I think the overall graphics fidelity in handheld mode improves.
This is a surprise. Now Switch 2 version has 2 modes. Quality targets 30fps ( but during test it is running between 35-39fps) and performance mode that targets 60fps.. In comparison, Series S only has 30fps mode.
Switch 2 physical cart is scheduled for March 19, 2026 release, together with PS5 and Xbox series game disc version.
Plus it is a full physical cart version.
