I've never played the first ones, so I don't have a real answer for you. I just picked this up the other day because of all the praise it was getting and it's definitely worth it. The game is fantastic and the visuals are outstanding. I just move the camera around sometimes because of how good it looks.
It feels great to play a platform/adventure game with some many shooters and the like always coming out. I highly recommend it.
Drive club was cool and all, after a while, but I really wish they had made a motorsterm instead. That game had such a unique idea and experience. I guess I'll never see a new one now :(

IMO there was no wow factor when I plagued the beta. It felt like I had to like it because of all the hype it's getting. But then after about an hour playing with my buddy all I could find me thinking is I can't wait til this mission is over so I can play Siege or Rocket league. I find it funny that I purchased the season pass for this game and then they label the bikes dlc as an "expansion" so now I have to buy that. If I buy the season pass that should cover all DLC for a game. If that's not true then why wouldn't all developers just label things as "expansions" to make more money?
I really have a hardent time seeing how any of these features matter when it still takes hours to install a game. That should be #1 on their list. I've had a ps4 since launch and the most it's taken to install a game was maybe 5 minutes max...it seems faster now. Dude don't even bring up H Hour. I'm so sick about that. I backed it on Kickstarter with 150$ and all I got was a time shirt, hat, and patches. I'm beyond passed that they just let that die and I'm out money. Also, one reason why I don't like Kickstarter, but I'll stop my rant here :).
Well instead of them accepting that no one plays single player, how about they change that idea and actually give people a reason to play it. I mean it is star wars we're talking about here. Agree with most comments here. It is sad to hear about this tragedy, however, what Nintendo is doing is still THEM choosing to make poor decisions. Gamers have every right to be upset about Metroid and Zelda and everything else coming out of Nintendo.

I've had a Wii u for about a year now and have turned it on twice. SSB didn't really do much for me and neither did Mario Kart. They were okay to me, but definitely not system sellers in my opinion. Great review, man. This is exactly how I felt about the game. You explained everything and had reasoning behind it. Unlike much of the reviews that just started short gameplay, but never went in depth about what they actually didn't like. They just took what other reviewers said and copied it.
