If you actually go back and play these games you will find most of them are crap now. Games do not age well, the only ones that do are the ones with a decent story, such as RPG's or your Zeldas. Or old school fighters/shooters.
Your FPS of yesterday look awful now, I went back to Deus Ex and nearly cried at how badly it aged. Best to leave most games in the past where they belong, unlike music/film they do not age well.
Put aside the fact that RE5 was not scary for a minute, it was still a decent game. Add in Lost in Nightmares (which is scary enough for a RE game and proves Capcom can still do traditional RE when they want) and Desperate Measures/Mercs. And you have a LOT of game for your money if you buy the Gold edition. I'm not defending the game it should have been scarier and better overall. But people get hung up on the fact it wasn't scary and forget it was a good game.
Modern Warfare for life, everything else is runner up to the king. I don't care about making friends, all the sheep jump on the "I hate COD and Activision" bandwagon so they can fit in with the other sheep to scared to speak the truth, then when the game comes out what do they do.
