like the guy said, a bunch of anticipated games came out with heavy rain too, like bioshock and AVP. maybe they didn't sell as well as red dead, but its hard to imagine HR doubling alan wake's sales just because red dead came out a week later than AW.

On topic: Sony's always going for the 10-year lifespan. MS may have gotten a head start early this gen, but look were they are now. Sony is positioned much better--and Nintendo, well, anything they make sells.
No one really knows what the next generation of gaming will be. Sony's going 3D, Nintendo's doing their thing, and MS will just copy a bit from both. At this point, they're all trying something new and hoping it'll take off--that way they'll be the leader next-gen.
Not seeing much of a difference from FO3. Not that I'm expecting it given Alpha Protocol's graphics, LOZL
