I disagree with your AAA statement.
Persona 4 for instance is a AAA title. Perhaps not in the mainstream sense of the word, but going by A) reviews, and B) sheer quality of the game, it's AAA.
Also, Killzone looks DAMN like a AAA, as did Uncharted, LBP, and soon Tearaway.
Soooo there's plenty to be going on while we wait for the eventual GTA drop! (Which I assume might happen between GTA 5 and GTA6)
Completely agree! Still remember the day, the room, and the smell of Lilies filling said room the first time playing Rayman; almost twenty years on... Crazy!
Must in some way merit classic status!
I desperately want pretty much all of the above to be true, but I think we'll be setting ourselves up for disappointment hoping for the best. It's PROBABLY gonna be a fishing game.
I had a load of fun on my tod playing on the Vita!
Just bought Ghosts of sparta from the store ^^ £2 odd is a hell of a deal! Only played it for a few hours back when I used my PSP. Can't wait to have another crack!
At the sony conference on the 20th, they said something about Vita looking great on TV's, then went off and said they're not announcing anything til later in the year. No links, just watch the conference :P
@bully
Shame it's got such a crappy single touch, pressure pad display.
I really like the premise of the wii u, though after having a crack on my friends I was left feeling a little underwhelmed. Playing multiplayer feels ridiculously unbalanced, based on the fact that EVERYONE would rather use the wii u pad than a wii mote or classic controller. Having the most fun pad being reserved for a single gamer is unfair, and un-nintendo. 150 whatevers is far too expensive for a ...
They had that survey recently which asked what we would like to see :P I mainly voted for Power stone 3 and REmake 2. Both need to happen!
Completely agree with your bundle idea. Suggested the exact same thing on gamespot forums haha :P Sony should definitely see the potential of this, and I don't think it will take long before they put it into practice.
COMPLETELY agree. Vita is the very first handheld I've not had a single hand cramp with. Don't get me wrong, I had some amazing times on my DS Lite; and some a few sweet times with the 3DS, but neither machine is particularly built for comfort. I find the rounded edges on the Vita, coupled with the grips on the back (which my middle fingers slip into nicely, coincidentally forcing my hands into a comfortable position) make it the nicest hand held to hold. The sticks take a little gett...
Yeeeaaah. Colour me excited if it is indeed another AC on Vita! Though I do fail to see where they've got this from.
I disagree whole heartedly. I bought 3 games in the first year of 3DS (SFIV, Zelda OoT, RE:R). I've not actually spent money on it since RE:R - which turned out to be good - though restricted by the platform. PSV - which I've owned for 6 months, I have 11 games for. Only regret one purchase the entire time I've owned it. And I get free games every couple of weeks from +. If only nintendo had the online service to dish out it's entire catalog digitally.
All down to pref...
Go have a look at Soul Sacrifice my friend ;)
Considering that Persona 4 Golden (please do correct me if I'm wrong in saying this) is a JRPG, and really quite different from the list of beat'em ups you just posted; I don't think it's really fair to say one is categorically better than the other.
Either way - great review, literally itching to pick it up!
I concur. The free to play model is gaining more and more ground on the PC, with most of the bigger releases of recent being more focused on the f2p market (planetside 2, Hawken etc.) In the realms of a handheld it would be perfect - particularly as many of the owners have PC's or consoles as well that they may prefer to spend the money on. It would certainly bring about an interesting dynamic to the handheld market; even more so if the majority of them (or the larger ones at least) could...
One of the only memorable games from my Wii days. Absolutely beautiful from start to finish - and had me alarmingly gripped for a game of this type. Can't wait to revisit this :)
I've had 3 street passes since launch :( Got 32 people on near as we speak though. Street pass is too narrow. It relies on you both having your systems on with wifi enabled as you walk within each others vicinity. Nears 5 mile radius makes it far more accessible; have got several PSN friends through it too :)
The 3DS just doesn't do it for me anymore. I once blindly hated on the Vita, now however, I love it.
Also just realised that's 32 in a 1.5 km radius...
Agreed.
Completely different caliber (Weighing in the quality of Vita games in comparison to the disposable nature of mobile gaming)
Didn't read the article - just the comments. This pretty much sticks me in the authors shoes; and as such I shall throw some weighty opinions about too. The authors 'friend with a vita' is fictional - as are the rest of his friends.
We can all be ignorant dicks if we wish my friend! Give the Vita a crack and you'll see what an enormous mistake you made publishing this article.
Never been a huge JRPG fan, but P4G is now one of my favorite games... ever.
