I just wanted to know does the move add a better dimension to the gameplay aspect.

You know there's really nothing wrong about that, it's just they're putting that Capcom strength most people are used to.
We would not say Capcom is weak, if you look at their 80's to late 90's catalogue.
It also doesn't help losing major developers, which drove them to be so diverse.
