Faster to get the repair kit from Amazon and fix it yourself (next day shipping and 20mins to fix) ...when I called they wanted to keep the controller for 3 weeks.
You've gotten amazingly lucky. I have 4 other friends with the switch and we all experienced this problem. Lucky enough they sell kits on Amazon to fix it yourself rather then sending your joy con in to Nintendo for a couple weeks.

I'm a father of a 7 year old boy. I don't need gaming companies to do anything other then make great games. I'll handle the parenting part. I only allow him to play if his homework is all done and for 30mins daily during the school week. On the weekends he can play longer but thankfully he has friends that like to do things outside (apparently this is rare now so I'm very thankful lol)
