I know you never have to do anything. I was just stating my point of view. I was an achievement junkie... i felt like i had to complete them, and followed the charts and stuff. I know ... DORK. But anyway I was just saying that's what they were to me. And I am a more laid back gamer without them. :)
I used to think achievements were great. I used to have to get them all. I have over 37,000 GS on my live profile. Then I got rid of my Xbox and got a PS3. I am so happy that they are not there anymore. I found myself running around games looking for items or trying to do certain things that really didn't matter in the true outcome of the game. Running around assassins creed trying to survive in open combat for long periods of time. Getting 10,000 kills in a game that was so glitched it wasn'...
I wish I had an xbox 360 so I could not be able to watch High Def movies, and pay 50 dollars a year for online gaming and not be able to browse the net, either. But then I guess I could also not play games like Haze or Unreal Tournament or use my card reader to view photos and video from my camera/camcorder. But hey at least I would have Halo 2... i mean Halo 3 and Viva Pinata. I really feel left out of the whole RRoD thing as well.
Well, Maybe all you Xbox HD-ers can sell you...
except the final HD format.
