If your competitor can still outsell you on hype for a game a month away and offering deals on their console, compared to you releasing one of the most hyped games of the year, its not really a good sign of future.
Starfield is #1 and yet Xbox still lost their biggest market to their competitor who didn't have a first party or true 3rd party game release the entire month.
Sony won September on Spider-Man 2 hype against their competitors biggest exclusive, raising the price of ps plus, and a lackluster E3 esque presentation earlier this year.
I swear, the only people I've seen give a damn about non-white people in this game is game journalist and the resetera thread that tried to argue that Sony made Kratos white in Gow 2018.
The rest of the gaming population and subs couldn't give a damn because we're just enjoying the game.
So, I read both tweets from Chris and while less than FF15, 16's box sales in the UK were still strong enough to put it behind Zelda, Hogwarts, Resident Evil, and Star Wars, 4 big name games with either multiple platforms or one huge fan base.
So, in two days, a 3rd party exclusive, by physical sales alone was able to land in the current top 5 of UK #1 physical box sellers, beating out the rest of the multiplatform games that released and we still don't have the dig...
If Microsoft was buying a studio, nobody would care, like how they brought Ninja Theory.
Microsoft is trying to buy a publisher, the one who publish the games of the smaller developers/studio
Studios and publisher are two different things by a wide margin.
People love to say Sony buy studios to keep them from Xbox but the case is the studios Song buy have been working under them for years and the vast calog of those games were PS exclus...
Because outside of signing exclusives, which every single gaming company does, Sony never tried to buy a publisher to keep games off other competitors.
Sony and Nintendo make games that showcase their consoles and appeals to the market.
Microsoft does not therefore they fall behind the other two constantly.
I don't know if push square is a shit site or this Sammy Barker is just that much of a dumbass of a writer.
First point, how is Microsoft sniping 3rd party games from Sony when Yakuza and P3 are still coming to PlayStation? A marketing deal is not an exclusive deal.
Second, most of Xbox first party games aren't showing up until 2024, and there's no concrete date on any of them except Starfield and Forza. Fable didn't even have a year.
BS.
Microsoft didn't spend all of 2020 bragging how the Series X is the most powerful console just for their exclusives to be 30FPS.
Give it a few years and there'll be an documentary on why Microsoft studios can't get 60fps from their games despite the Xbox being the only console there developing for.
It's really just another sign that people who spend their time talking about or complaining about games on the internet are a very, very, small, minority of actual gamers.
People wonder why Sony is trying to bring some multiplayer games under their umbrella? Because done well, those games make money hand over hand.
Gamers love to say vote with your wallet and the masses have voted saying their okay with micro transactions for years now.
I like how you made sure to use Sony's first party studio in your comment to ignore the rest of the games coming exclusively and console exclusivelyto PlayStation the next few months.
FF 16
Baldur's Gate 3 (Xbox fans were real hot this isn't coming to their console any time soon)
Spider-Man 2
I find it funny a lot of Xbots are concerned when one of their exclusive reviewed miserablely and they have their hopes and prayers and...
Dude, people thought Xbox was done because they went an entire year without releasing any exclusives but AA indies.
Add in the fact that it sales like shit against the other two and Redfall fucking up, that's why people said it was done.
The PS5 is already coming in strong this year with FF 16, Spider-man, and Baldur's Gate while the Xbox is basically going to have to say Hellblade is releasing this year with Starfield, as well as Starfield comin...
The amount of people I seen on Twitter and Reddit who think this is all Sony has is bafflingly.
Sony has been saying for years they wanted to bring live service games to the platform while continuing to pump out epic single player experiences, but you have idiots who think every sinngle player game was cancelled for GAAS games.
God damn, this article is filled with nothing but hyperbole and doom and gloom.
This dude really thinks it's a possibility that Sony studios are on strike because they didn't show there games?
Come on. Can people just admit that they don't like pvp games and move on already.
If Sony showed Ghost of Tsushima 2, there would have been no way that it would have made it into an upcoming year launch window and then y'all be co...
The fact that the large majority of PlayStation exclusive sell like hot cakes along with pushing the PS5 consile sales is what tells Jim that releasing a PC port 3 years later is a good idea.
This tough to hear but PC gamers aren't the main focus for Sony, it's the actual playstation gamers and people who are willing to buy the console to play the games.
