I'm sure it'll be compatible with iMAME4ALL, which is one of the sole reasons I bought a 80 some dollar iCADE. I don't see why this isn't pretty cool as well?
Just that some games may not work if they use a lot of buttons, but I think it's cool.

I think it's alright, as well, for simply demo purposes, but we all know mostly why a person really torrents or pirates: To get the game for free. Kanji makes sense to me, but considering I'm from a Chinese background, which is essentially all Kanji, I could see where you have troubles.
