I'm sorry but I can't see how this statement makes any sense whatsoever. People who collect trophies usually do it because they enjoy it, just like you play games because you enjoy them. By having this view i'm guessing you look back at every game you ever played and realize what a waste of time they were? I mean you didn't accomplish anything while playing them, just enjoyed them, the same way trophy hunters enjoyed getting their trophies...

Don't most people read reviews to help them decide if something is worth buying? So why shouldn't the products value be included in the review? For example with me if a game i was unsure of gets less than stellar reviews I'll wait till the price drops to make sure i get good bang for buck. And i will be more willing to spend $60 on a game like skyrim that will last me a good 100+ hours over something that lasts only 8. Value should be an aspect of reviews, you a...
The kid was trying to cheat, he kinda deserved it, maybe he won't cheat anymore after that. As Servbot41 said you just going to be ok with it because he's just 11 well then he'll still be doing wrong when he's 20. My little cousin is a prime example of this, he cheats and cheats and people tell him but there is never any real consequence from anyone so now it's all he does, i can't even play anything with him anymore without him cheating and i feel like that is worse t...
I really feel like you missed the point on this... The blog is specifically aimed at the people who were using game length, cutscene length, linear and use of QTEs as automatic negatives, I at no point claimed they were the same genre or that The Order would even be any good but last time i checked, on the points i was making, all these games fall into that.
All the games i mention are equally short.
They are all cutscene heavy.
They all have linear stories that don...
No idea, I'm hoping that Microsoft having it makes Sony react though. I'm holding out for a couple more months but then i'll probably just buy a new internal drive for my ps4 because i'm already having to uninstall games.
Prediction for E3(or what they should do): 500gb Ps4 to $349.99, 1TB for $399.99. And 500gb Xbox for $299.99 with 1TB for 349.99
I wish you could just use an external drive like on the Xbox One for the Ps4 because even though it's not a massive deal, it is actually the only reason i haven't installed a new hard-drive yet, it'll only take me like an hour but for some reason it is causing hesitation. It's not a massive deal, i just don't really understand the lack of external hdd support.
I don't get the need for the hostile sarcasm towards him, because it really is annoying when that happens, dying or losing online doesn't bother me at all, there's always going to be people better than you, but when a guy is actually full out lagging and it messes you up, it can be frustrating. Like in Gta online when in a race with a guy with bad connection, he'll be ahead of you then disappear and re appear randomly, sometimes smashing into you. And with Call of Duty you get...
I think you don't know how reviews work. Just because he didn't like the game, doesn't make it an automatic 0 or bad score, maybe he didn't enjoy it, but he still has to give credit for things he realizes it does well. (runs well, amazing graphics, decent story) The game isn't broken and unplayable, it still deserves credit for some aspects.
I wasn't really blindly defending it, i even write that the game might not be good (Reviews are showing that it isn't very good) I was just making a point that not all story heavy games with a lot of cutscenes and QTEs are bad if they are done correctly. As you said I haven't even played it yet, it was just a blog to promote discussion and go over what makes The Order different than other games with with short single player campaigns, no multiplayer and QTE segments.
Nothing wrong with that, the more variety of games the better, if interactive movie games sell, it means people enjoy them so they should make them. They won't become the only genre, sales determine what genre is most popular so if a genre became over saturated and people were tired of it, they'd stop selling. The consumers determine the trends and genres, a company isn't going to throw money at a genre that doesn't sell. It's nice that there is something for everyone. <...
Apologizing now for the less than professional writing. Hope it sparks some good discussion though.
Personally I find Sony's customer service to be very hit and miss, I once bought a 1 year ps+ membership from a local store which ended up not working, the local store (which i now refuse to shop at) wouldn't do anything to help me because "i had no way of proving I didn't already use it" so i contacted Sony and they were very quick to sort it out, and actually just ended up adding the 1 year membership to my account. But then, i was having an issue with my dualshock rec...
Only the IGN app seems to be having problems... I'm on my Ps4 at the moment but i don't think xbox live is down, the Xbox live status site just says IGN app is having problems.
Edit: Oh maybe this happened over night? That's why i'm not a big fan of these stories, by the time they are written and approved the problem is usually taken care of. I feel like these stories shouldn't even get approved, anybody that uses n4g most likely has the knowledge to just...
Not really, for me the messaging on the Ps4 is really broken still, sometimes i get messages right away, other times nearly 30 minutes later, and even this week i received a message that was sent to me last week. In this case though, the story is just written by somebody who doesn't know what he's talking about.
Look into what? Dying Light is an open world game if only 30% of the game is downloaded, how would you play 100% of the game? The textures and scripts and a bunch of the aspects of the game aren't even on the system yet...
Once again, take VGchartz numbers with a grain of salt and not as fact, they are just estimates based on trends and should be viewed as such.
I'm a little confused by this story... Obviously if you progress through the game faster than it's downloading you won't be able to continue after a certain point no? I mean how are you going to progress if the part of the game isn't downloaded and installed yet? Am i missing something?
Edit: As for battlefield hardline beta, since it's online only it seems obvious that you can't start playing without the maps being fully downloaded? I don't get it? you do...
I don't find this all that impressive, looks a little like Skyrim with graphic mods...
And Microsoft acquired that 90 billion dollars by spending a billion dollars on things that would probably only make them ~150million dollars in return? Makes sense...
Edit: in reply to your edit, yes maybe it would make sense if they were purchasing all of Konamis console/PC gaming assets. But if it's just for silent hill, it's a stupid investment.
