The new Xbox controller looks great. Can't really complain, be nice if they found a way to put personal storage into them so that each controller had its own memory and just by registering it to a friend's console you could bring your games and saves.

Dreams.

@ both above

Nope, check YOUR facts.

No internal pictures exist that can be verified for sure. I'm not ruling out DDR3 in Xbox One at all (and really it can be argued that top end DDR3 provides more than enough bandwidth for 1080p gaming) but there's no verified proof of it so far so nothing is concrete.

Obviously it has to be released and in our hands before it can be verified. I could just as easily point to a picture on the web and...

A Jaguar-based 8 core AMD APU in each system pretty much means they're identical. The only thing people have to emphasize here is the memory speed. Unconfirmed rumors so far speculate that the 8GB in Xbox One is DDR3 (challenge that if you want). But even DDR3 at the highest speed is ample enough to compete with GDDR5 if in the PS4 it's crippled by a narrower bus, as is the case usually with low-mid range PC components. In a console however they usually try to spring for the widest bu...

I definitely hope they learned $600 at launch is just plain stupid. So are boomerang controllers.

I support buying/renting preowned games 100%. And borrowing from a friend. But it's not Microsoft's decision, they're bending to pressure. From who? From all the game developers that want to see their profits go higher.

But here it is plain and simple. This gen is going to be pricey. Gaming IS pricey. Chances are there's either going to be a raise in prices or they're going to block game sharing. I don't need to remind anyone here that we're curren...

Well here's some food for thought:

Their focus IS on games. The reveal was literally just ONE hour of showing their plans to bring more stuff to the Xbox Live service. Obviously the big picture here is to keep subscribers paying for gold membership. The gold membership brings them more members and more money. Money brings positive investment...members brings in more developer interest. More developer interest brings in more games.

Now consider that you...

Seriously guys, everyone is acting like the console doesn't play games. Gamers will first and foremost play games on their consoles. Nothing will ever change the fact that the reason why the VAST MAJORITY of people buy video game consoles is to play games. All Microsoft has done is literally give you an immediately accessible way of getting to other content.

Seriously, you guys are flipping over what's essentially an alt-tab for a gaming console???

In the real world Xbox has been the number one console this gen. And will continue to make strides into the next gen.

The reveal did exactly what it was supposed to and it showed a lot about their plan to have a solid living room solution. It doesn't mean that it's not a games console, it's just like the guy said about having to switch inputs to get to other content. So now instead of a media center pc, a Roku device, a cable box, and a wifi router to network all that now it's integrated into one machine. That doesn't spell the doom of Xbox being a games console! The console still comes w...

Could it be that long forgotten talk about forward compatibility? Maybe maybe not, since the new discs are bluray.
