Garry has an impressive body of work and I'm really enjoying his work on Shadow of War so far. Hopefully, more people are willing to give the game a chance and not be turned away because of the microtransaction practices.
Every year, EA releases the same game and tries to make a few additions here and there. While it's good that The Journey mode can be continued and Frostbite still has it's pros and cons, I'll be curious to see how they can change things up, even more, moving forward. The game still has other issues when it comes to playing on the field and all of that stuff needs to be better handled moving forward.
Definitely still planning to check out this game next week regardless of all the review scores.
This was without a doubt a very solid turn-based RPG. Very curious to see whats next for both the comic book series as well as future games within the same universe.
Sounds like a very disappointing experience overall. Not sure what the devs were thinking but hopefully someone finds some enjoyment with it.
This game looks fantastic so far. Definitely curious to see how the final product comes out.
That's a great point that you've made. We will see what happens next.
Another great pickup for anyone who has a switch and missed out on getting the previous game. Hopefully Nintendo ports over Super Smash Bros. next.
October is without a doubt the single best month for game releases this year and 2017 has been a great year for this generation. Several awesome titles to choose from all geared towards different audiences. It will be hard to find someone who would disagree about this being a strong month for releases.
The gameplay demonstration might have been brief, but I'm already sold on the game. I'm just curious to see how far Ubisoft will push the envelope in regards to the subject matter. I guess we will find out soon enough.
I think the decision to choose this over Shadow of War is totally understandable and it's a hard decision man lol I have no doubt every game you mentioned will be awesome but the fact all these games are coming out at the same time is a little crazy. Some games will definitely have to be played at a later time.
This is without a doubt one of my most anticipated games of 2017. Very curious to see the end results of everything that MachineGames has learned from developing the previous games.
Several of the points that were made in this article are spot on. The Neogaf commenter who stated that the devs could have used any other of Kanye's issues for comedic purposes is also accurate. With all that said though, I think people will still go out in droves to buy this game. The TV show is funny and having played the game at a few preview events I can say it definitely is a fun time. We all know they like to cross lines unapologetically and part of that is what makes people laugh. ...
This is a very insightful and well put together piece on the importance of Game Jams within our industry. I think people take events like these for granted and the irony is a lot of the relationships formed at these events could often lead to other breakout games getting created.
This was without a doubt a great way to approach making a planet of the apes game. Very curious to see if the final product delivers.
This is an okay game at best and definitely could have been better than it actually is. Very disappointed.
Definitely a great start to the season so far.
A really fun mobile game experience that's also free-to-play. Definitely recommended for those who want to try something slightly different from the main game.
While I'm not a fan of the microtransaction controversy surrounding this game, Shadow of War is still shaping up to be an awesome title. Hopefully, fans are still planning on picking up the game and enjoying it for what it is without the need to purchase anything extra.
I definitely have to make time to try this out at some point but that may be hard with The Evil Within 2 and Wolfenstein 2 coming out this month.
