Not even that, just take the ammo. If the devs cannot support their game then that is on them not the players looking for !@#$ to do. This sounds alot like division 1 baloney.

if they went all digital, could allow downloads via a kiosk to sd card for those in areas with limited internet access, or bandwidth.

I did until I hit lvl 50, and I only completed 3 quests. The game sucks, but it does have alot of potential. They should be honest and admit that it is early access, drop price and refund 1/3 of it.
i see only a few games, not enough to warrant a purchase.
