It's a shame too, considering that this would have been an opportunity to remove the stigma they have in the PC gaming community.

Sony already tried that with the experia play. It was a fantastic device however no one made use of the controls, the only game I had on mine that made use of the the controls were Minecraft and any emulators I had.

If they expect us to use a cable it better not be micro USB, with one of those the cable outlasts the port it connects into.

I would have to try it out before I would even consider buying one. I would also like to get a feel for the build. Another thing to consider is with expensive keyboards, mice and arcade sticks is that the switches they use can take a beating and last a long time I would need to confident that the buttons on the elite would do the same.

From what I've seen of a lot of third party games, the extra power is needed to mask how badly the games were made. Take any third party game and compare it with a first party title, 9/10 the first party game is would be better in graphical performance

If power was the reason for its downfall everyone would be playing on PCs.

Most of the best selling console were weaker than the competition at the time, if anything the need to make it easier for devs to port their games to the new system. So a x86 system would be beneficial.

It's unfortunate but Nintendo needs to leave its innovation behind cause no third party dev will make use of it.

I don't think that weaker hardware was ever a problem in the industry, in fact some of the best selling console weren't power houses.

What I think caused it's downfall is the fact that it was too different it cost more money to develop for a system with a different architecture and control scheme. If Nintendo wants to succeed in the console market place they unfortunately need to leave their innovation behind.

While a few games have a difficulty setting, even hard mode isn't that challenging in most of them.

I'm currently playing through the recent strider on hard mode and its been a breeze so far.

There are plenty of genres that wouldn't work with vr in my opinion (fighting games come to mind) so traditional TVs would still be a part of everyone's gaming setup.

I'm curious on what the industry leading chipset myself, more importantly which architecture it uses. If it follow the PS4 and the XBOX one and goes with x86 it would take too long for devs to get in grips with the hardware.

I think the main problem is that patching is being misused by most publishers, in the rest of the software industry you would have to hold back your release of it was known to be broken, I'm not sure why games should be an exception.

Wouldn't that just be bayonetta with a dude?

I think it's because the ps4 has had a better adoption here than in Japan

The AAA business model just doesn't work well with innovation. Unless there's hype about something (like the VR stuff for example) no company would ever invest in something that's a clear risk.

If you want to look for innovation you have to look elsewhere.

I'm not too sure how her agenda fits into this though, while I can agree more women in gaming will lead to diversity, innovation != diversity.

I'm thinking the same, the PC is all about choice and for Multiplayer games especially big ones like this, they want to choose which server in order to reduce latency.

Also with the way ports were a while back (which has been improving since), most players avoid games with less than stellar pc ports.

I agree with you, before 3d was around the only way the could make something look expansive was to use isometric.

With technology right now, using a isometric veiw is a design choice rather than a necessity.

I do love isometric view though, gives off a tabletop vibe which is probably why you see it used in turn based strategy games

I do the same, the advantage of the PC is that you can have several hard drives so having loads of of digital games is never really s problem.

On my handhelds, the Vita has been full physical unless the game is digitally only because if memory card prices and on the 3DS is digital if the game is priced the same or lower than the physical copy.

I'm mixed on my opinions on console just yet, as I am worried about the ease of managing my library as my librar...

I'm sure they confirmed that the Vita wouldn't have a successor, even if they did they have stained their reputation in the handheld market, so a Vita 2 would be a hard sell.

I think the main reason, is that buying a Multiplayer only game is a riskier investment. You would only get your money's worth if other people make the same investment, once a Multiplayer game has been deemed as low population it can be very difficult for the community to pick.

With a single player game, you don't run into the same risks

I don't think GTAV was intentionally timed for PC, didn't it release around the same time as the ps4 / Xbox One version?

With RDR, they would need to do a full port just for the PC and with the unjustified fear of piracy I don't think they would invest any time or money into it.

Who knows since remasters are all the rage right now, we may get a current gen port which could easily be modified to run on the PC. Here's hoping I loved the Multi...
