first of all FONY copied the trophies from microsoft cuz before you unlock an achievement their is a little picture of a trophy with a lock.
next is the avatars, only cuz FONY announced it first doesnt mean they invented it. Maybe microsoft had it in development way back but they dont like to announce things that will never come out like HOME. anyways the fall update will come out way before the DELAYED home.
the in-game xmb was in the 360 since launch unlike the ps3...
