Take a look at the front page, at least half the stories, at all times, are "top x lists" or "PS4 will win next gen because..." just these pointless click-grabbing opinion pieces by no-name gaming sites.
Again, all the real news is on NEOGAF and most of the real gaming news stories that actually ARE on N4G are taken directly from GAF about 4-8 hours late.
I swear, N4G just keeps sliding down hill.
This site has basically become a "forum" where every person with an opinion or a "top 10" list gets posted.
I visit this site once a day where I used to visit 5-6 times. Now I just go to NEOGAF, you know, a site where people post gaming news as its happening, not 8 hours later.
Hell I'm convinced that 90% of the stories on here are people browsing NEOGAF and then jumping out ...

You bet, most people seemed to have missed a few of DICE's follow up interviews where they basically admitted to lying (or at least concealing truth) about BF3.

DICE admits in 2011 that the PC was NOT the lead platform, it switched at some point to the consoles.
They also admitted in a different interview that they had a choice.
1. Make the PC version vastly better than the console version.
2. Offer the same experience across all platforms. ...

Look at the 64 player map layouts THEN look at the console layouts. It is blatantly obvious that the maps were made for the consoles first, and then they just tossed in extra flags for the PC version.

Every single game I've played in the past 7-8 years has had a "CONTROLS" Section clearly showing you how to control the game.
Its called the internet, game manuals are useless now, just like this "story".
You are actually right. Most BF2 and BF 1942 enthusiasts thought that all things would be fixed with the Armored Kill DLC (you know, proper BF maps), but then everyone played them and realized that the GAME itself is broken and not very good.
Its great if you grew up on Bad Company and COD (like most of the people on here probably have...).
Graphics look like they've taken a nose dive since that first reveal a while back.

Not sure what are so great about these designs. Some of the human faces look nice but other than that, not super impressive. Good but not mind blowing.
The original characters like the alien are way over-designed (google it if you don't understand what I mean by that)
Their are also about 1,000+ people you could find on Deviant Art etc. right now with skills on par or better than this guys.
