but now that i think of it, the PS3's lineup for 2011 is fucking insane. I really wouldn't mind having this for 2012 if it means we are getting an extremely polished product that makes full use of the bluray's capacity. GT5 is a perfect example of this.

2011 is going to be crazy stacked though - inFamous2,KZ3,TwistedMetal,Mot orstorm:A,The Last Guardian,R3, and maybe even UC3
And these are just the AAA exclusives, we still have awesome third party games like Deadspace2,DA2,Portal2,FF14,ME 2 and Rage.
i'll miss the 32player pistol-only Radec matches but the change is good imo.

I do understand what you are trying to say though, GT5 is simply more than 'just a game'.
It's pretty clear to anyone who follows PD news that with GT5, Kaz aims to not only educate the masses on the history of automobile, but also to foster in them a passion for driving.
Add to the fact that no one shows off car models like PD does...you can practically feel the love in each and every...

I'm still glad that they decided to concentrate all their resources on single player for ACiT.
IG perfected the R&C formula (story,pacing and gameplay) in ACiT and gave me one of the best gaming experience this gen. Co-op would have caused the story to suffer imo.
I see All4One as a different kind of experience, one you can easily drop in and have lots of fun without investing into the story. Both are essential for any platforming fans :)
