This was a very interesting article and I was very moved by it. I'm glad to see the step up. The focus on accessibility will ultimately benefit all gamers.

@MrChicagoWind

I love it(awesome graphics and game physics)and you can't beat the discounted price either.

"Yeah. And who is "us?" I'm not disappointed."

I couldn't agree more. One the other hand of the authors question:

"Are the PS4 and Xbox One Letting You Down?"

My answer would be No! but NG4 allowing repetitive and pointless articles like these to be posted is VERY DISSAPPOINTING!!!

"The author is frustrated with another day-one new console purchase, and regrets not waiting for at least a year."

Every single console launch has had a drought initially so why would you think next gen would be different?

I think the saying patience is a virtue applies to next gen as it did to its predecessors.

Maybe next time wait to buy it and then you can write an article on why you're frustrated bec...

Please let the it be his character from Kindergarten Cop. The fatality phrase could be "Who is your daddy? and what does he do!" Stop teasing Boon and just tell us lol.

"The big question is why would I rent a game with spotty performance when I could just go and buy a used copy for a fraction of the price, have no performance issues and get to keep it forever and play at my own leisure? That is the question Sony needs to answer"

I'm not trying to be a jerk but Sony doesn't have to answer anything they haven't already answered or addressed before.

PS Now is a streaming servic...

Well written article and a very fair assessment. One thing not mentioned though is Sony doesn't set the prices of the games the publishers and developers do.

Mentioned within a Sony email from beta testing(Important points to review).

These prices are ultimately decided on by the participating developers and publishers. Your feedback during this next phase of the Private Beta is extremely important, as we will be monitoring it closely.

Can't wait to see it in all it's finalized glory.

This was a very well written article and I applaud the author even though I disagree on some things.

Sony is working with the publisher for more titles and lower pricing/subscription based model.

I would recommended a hard wire connection if possible because that will correct the "lag/graphics" issue.

I'm enjoying PS Now "sooner" then "later"

@M1GO

I did read the article/review sir. I pointed out the fact that you reviewed a beta harshly and felt an opinion piece would've been better suited(tons of them out there). Your summary talks of pricing and I offer you this in contrast.

Please note there is no mention of these prices are FINALIZED OR THAT SONY CONTROLS THE BETA PRICING.

@porkChop

I see your point but if people don't rent them though wouldn't you think the prices would go down on their own (example Sony says "Hey publisher your prices are way to *&^%$# high and nobody's renting" Publisher says "Oops my bad I thought I could get away with it, good catch Sony")

All these people that disagree just to disagree could email Sony (nowfeedback@playstation.sony. c om)and vent to speed up the process...

Summary:

EA Access is in beta and it is a great deal because of pricing model and exclusive EA titles. (Obviously prices won't go up right? EA has way more games then all other companies combined right?)

PS Now is in beta and it's horrible because of pricing and horrible game selection. (Obviously prices won't go down or more games won't be added right?)

I feel that both will offer good value when they're finalized and this g...

"We tested out the beta, and the tech works. But more work is needed before we can wholeheartedly recommend the service."

Then you shouldn't have reviewed it either since it is still in BETA and is not finalized(including the PRICING/SUBSCRIPTION based option).

BETA!!! DOESN'T MEAN FINALIZED OR SET IN STONE!!!

I believe there are only two types of video game players "stereotypes".

1. Annoying(muted/ignored/blocked ) 2. Cool(add to friends list).

If you wanna use the "stereotypes" label I would suggest those listed above. Just a thought.

@WilliamUsher

I don't have anything against indies. I believe the gripes come from the lack of higher quality content being released on PS4 via indies (8 bit graphics) and before anyone says it I know it's ARTISTIC CHOICE of dev.

I feel the gamers frustration may come from games they want to play being pushed back til 2015+ in glorious 1080p 30-60fps and then Sony's appeasement stage of sorry in the meantime play these stunningly creative indie 8 ...

Given the writers perspective I would have to agree with what he says. I really appreciated his empathy about how frustrating waiting for content can be.

Here's an idea send your concerns about pricing and game selection to Sony via email nowfeedback@playstation.sony.c om and let them work on it. Just saying.
