the cpu is pretty good, the gpu is meh, the ram is ok.
It seems that nintendo is still heading in the casual direction
the thing with ylod is that its not like rrod where your console is doomed.
the yellow light is just indicating an error. The flashing red lights following this show that its overheating let it cool for a while. But the problem with this is that when it heats really fast, and cools really fast, it could ruin the motherboard which causes complete failure.
The problem with the error is that the overheating message sometimes comes after its too late.

You can easily cause YLOD yourself. Remove the HDD, ruin the powersupply, make it overheat by blocking the vents also causes the flashing red lights
having 2 360's in one room, and having one of them fully customized, saying that its the superior console sounds lame.
yeah but, its more like this game is bundled with ps eye for a few dollars more.
Its like wii play bundled with an extra controller. You could either get another controller, or you can get a controller and a game for a few dollars more.
yeah, this game looks cool.
I didn't think it would work this well until I saw it in action.
i hate games where you have useless AI aiding you.
I want to play a game where you start shooting, there's only 2-3 guys left, you take cover to regain health, and when you stand up, your AI friends already finished off those guys.
There was still hating in the Sega/Nintendo days, its just that it wasn't as widespread as it is now.
The RSX is made more powerful with the help from the fast calculations from the cell. Theoretically. The cell can do 1+1 faster than the Xenon.
Both GPU's suck by today's standards. Although the 360's is slightly better than the ps3's RSX, a lot of jobs are done by the cell which takes the load off of the ps3's RSX.
I'm no developer, but I would assume its easier to port a ps3 game to 360 than vice versa. On the 360 you have 3 powerful cores to put your code on. On t...
nicely put. I wouldn't say that xbl is not expanding though. XBL added a good amount of related features this gen.
Although I do agree that now they're running out of ideas.
@below
dedicated servers would be nice
lol, why the difference in agrees/disagrees for the same exact post?
Right now Xiphos is 4/3 and you are 8/0
that has nothing to do with the question
on topic:
"you will probably be more reassured by the three year warranty than a low failure rate." lol
the writer has never been on psn:
"I have also heard that
PlayStation Network frequently has large amounts of lag and disconnections when compared to Xbox Live."
yeah the other accessories are pretty bad...
I was so disappointed in the controllers...
its not just Sony's game division. Remember, Kaz Hirai said the playstation division has been profitable since last year. What I think is making Sony not profitable is the rest of its entertainment line, like the walkman, etc.
thats why they should not be counted in metacritic.
Its like they have a different scale from the rest of the world
Lets hope Sony can keep up with demand... its not even officialy released yet!
that makes no sense
what a surprise... psp version has better graphics. I would rather have them make a real gta game for the psp though.
its anti ps3 edge, what did you expect.
ylod nor rrod happens in 2 hours of playing. Your probably sitting in a room where the temperature's 100 F or you blocked the vents.
On the production line, its not like one of the consoles on the line will fail, and the other one is going to last. All consoles have the same level of tolerance. It all comes down to what the owner does that decides whether the console will fail.
To get the overheating ylod problem or rrod, it takes time for the console to heat to temp...
