I really enjoyed a lot of the parts of lost planet, but there was an awful lot of bad parts in it as well. I had to force myself to finish the game. It started strong, but ended poorly. So cut away as much as you like and leave me wanting more rather than forcing me to go through worthless filler. If they would have cut a bunch from the first one, I might have actually wanted the second one. I will take quality over quantity anytime.
For fans of chuck like myself. Miranda is voiced and looks like Yvonne Strahovski (Sara Walker)
A game like this would be more interesting to me if it used project natal (or the wand to a lesser degree). Instead of displaying a button to press, it would have a symbol of which body part to use to throw a punch or open a door or take off shirt etc. Possibly you wouldn't even need on screen symbols, you could figure out what to do just from the visual/audio input. I think it would be even more immersive, and satisfying to actually throw a punch at those robbers.

ps3 mediaserver transcodes files to work with your ps3. Your ps3 does not play the native files. Windows 7 does as well, transcode360 does as well, playon, orb. What's nice about windows 7 is you don't need to install additional software, it supports all dlna compliant devices, and it supports hardware acceleration of transcoding as well as internet based streaming.
Installing transcoding software on your pc for your ps3 and saying it streams everything...
Comparing the ps3 to media center running on xbox 360 is not a fair comparison. The 360 extends all of your media sitting on a home server or media center pc or any dlna compliant device with windows 7 (even the ps3). Basically anything you can get through cable tv/satellite/ota would be available from a media center pc including live tv. It also can be used for home automation. The ps3 interface is just poor compared to media center. It's super simple to use. A fairer comparison would b...
$100 for live and unlimited 1080p movie/tv streaming? Where do I sign? Throw in the zune pass and I'll pay $200. I get to stream this to my pc and zune hd too? Nice. Cell Phone? eventually. Awesome.
netflix $120/year no 1080p streaming 1 disc at a time $132/year for blu-ray disc option
zune pass $180/year
This essentially makes xbox live free depending on the content available to stream, so I doubt it will happen or at least they would nev...
Replaceable batteries = 100% wireless. Buy rechargeable batteries and you have all the benefits of the ps3 controller without the drawbacks of diminishing charge and plugging into ps3 to charge.
You don't have to do the subscription. You can import your existing mp3's and non-drm itunes library without any problems.
The people above have a point about the price of the adapter. Hopefully the n adapter will lower the price of the g adapter. A good N adapter now is around $50 so it would be nice if the g adapter went to $30 and the N adapter was sold at $75. I agreed with Microsoft's strategy of leaving it as an add-on. That way you could wait for N to come out or go wired. However, the pricing on those things are ridiculous.
An 802.11N adapter will allow Media Center users to stream their Hd recorded tv wirelessly to their xbox 360. Before we had to do it wired or purchase a wireless n extender from linksys, hp, or d-link.
This is good news for media center users along with the announcement of DIY cablecards and multichannel cablecards that allow you to record or watch live tv on up to 6 different channels simultaneously off of one cablecard and one cable.
The benefits for gamin...
I admit that I thought the idea of motion controls on the wii would fail. I bought one last year when the wii fit came out and fouund that I really enjoy motion controls. I am now looking forward to project natal. It probably won't happen, but I think a game like crackdown 2 would be awesome for project natal. Jumping from building to building was a totally immersive experience in the original and I really sweated every jump when I was up in the skyline. I wonder what that would be like i...
Developers wanting to make a game for the motion controller need a PSPEye - and prototypes of the actual hardware is available from SCEE account managers, but are in limited quantities at the moment. Studios will have to get whitelisted by Sony and discuss their ideas with them before the prototypes become more freely available
If you have to apply to get a prototype of this controller and MS has already sent out natal dev kits to developers how are they going to release the P...
I would also prefer a steering wheel in burnout, and if they make halo reach all motion controlled I will probably cry. I also love motion controlled minigames. I think hard core games are an exercise in frustration on the wii. I think fps should stay primarily k/m or controller and add motion control where it would be cool. But a primarily motion controlled star wars game would be amazing. The force unleashed is hard to do with controllers (except for moving around).

Jumping could be done by just jumping. Do you need to walk? The game could just take you to set pieces where you interact with everything from there. If you watched the burnout paradise demo, just taking a single step forward starts you moving. Turning your body could turn you as well. Natal is similar in concept to the pseye, but it's ability to track your body movements is dramatically better especially depth. Add on 3d googles and the immersion just gets better.
Sorry I'm not...
All I gotta say is bring on the star wars games for natal. I pick up a stormtrooper by pointing at him and bodyslam him against the ceiling, walls, and floor til he dies. The camera picture goes slo-mo as I hand pick off the laser bolts coming at me just like it's described in the star wars books holding a toy lightsaber. I'd probably buy one of those $100 lightsabers with lights and sound for total immersion. Force choke, lightning, stopping bolts like yoda, force jump, jedi mind trick with ...

Crackdowns one of those games where if all you did was follow the story from point a to b then it was not that great of a game, but if you explored the city and did all of the crazy stunts in the suv and climbed the tallest buildings and jumped from them and collected all of the orbs it was an amazing game. I still remember the first time jumping from one of the tall skyscrapers and feeling like I was actually jumping (that feeling that you get in the pit of your stomach)and just hoping that ...
Wireless G is overkill for streaming a 5 megabit connection. It just depends on the distance between your router and 360. Your 360 would have to be pretty far away from your router to not have a 5 megabit connection. I'm just letting you know what all the disagrees are for.
For those complaining about their bandwidth just wait 10 minutes for the movie to buffer to get the best quality.
I liked the game, so I bought it. They really dumbed down the physics from the tech demo with the phys-x procssor though. The amount of stuff you could throw at someone was incredible. Now it's just a couple of things.
I think you should be thanking nintendo not sony.
