I buy games new when and where I can, because the developers and the publishers deserve my money.
But I can't always afford to get a game on or near its release, and as someone who loves niche Japanese games, this is a problem; those types of games disappear quickly and don't get reprinted.
And what if I hear about a game a year or two down the track and think I'd like to buy it? I couldn't if the next-gen consoles don't allow for use of...
Not in 2013. So we'll probably get it in 2014.
It was listed for 2013 Japan because it'll get released there first, and then they'll have to translate and localise. So, 2014 for us, I reckon.
Missing out on an amazing game because of the graphics?
Sure, it may not be as good as X, but it still looks great. Plus, if you've only played the game on your own, you're not experiencing the full game. I didn't like Tri very much until I started going online with my best friend and my boyfriend.
Seriously, skipping a game based solely on its graphics is just baffling. Your loss, I guess.
Of course it is. I don't understand why some people are saying that it won't. Those Nintendo Directs were tailored to each region; it was shown in the American and European ones, so it's coming to those regions. Simple.
$200 eh? Pretty sweet deal. I really, REALLY hope this comes to Europe. I reckon it'll be announced around March, since we're getting it in April.
It's not so much a decline in the quality of games so much as the fact that tastes are changing and JRPGs are therefore selling for less.
I noticed that Xenoblade, the best game I have ever played, was completely ignored.
There isn't so much a decline in the JRPGs themselves so much as a decline in the proportion that get localised. And they don't get localised because many Western gamers keep buying Western games. This is not in itself a bad thin...
Haha, this is pretty cool. It's not quite there yet, but I hope it makes it. I'd like to play this game some time.
I really hope this isn't NA exclusive, haha.
Some mobile games are okay, and they suit that platform. I like Jetpack Joyride, Angry Birds, Temple Run and other cool games like that,
But as I stated above, the mobile is not a place for full-blown RPGs like the FF games. Plus, it;s clearly nothing more than a money-grab by Square Enix.
I want to see Square Enix stop focussing on the games they USED to make and start making newer ones of that calibre for something with more than 3 hours of battery life. I...
Square Enix have been placing WAY too much focus on the mobile market recently. Sure, it's a good way to make money for THEM, but it's not a good platform for fully-fledged RPGs like this, TWEWY, FF:IV and the like.
And I get the impression that this "Mobile revolution" is going to include a lot more of these types of games, ones that aren't suited to iOS. Square Enix really need to get their heads out of their asses and pay attention to what their fans...
Any time! Personally I think it's great gesture on Tomorrow Corporation's part.
The problem is that they didn't need a count down for a game no one's heard of. Especially when they make it look like Star Ocean, and especially after the The World Ends with You countdown that let down so many people.
Stoked for this! I don't have the second or third games, so I plan to get those!
Don't forget about Ragnarok Odyssey. Soul Sacrifice will be coming soon as well.
Looking forward to this, and I don't even own a PS3! Damn it's a good-looking game.
Yeah, I'm hoping there will be a bundle as well. With the games together as you said or with a special Wii U (the latter of which I think is unlikely). We'll see in a few month's time! :D
Man I am looking forward to this game. I won't be getting a Wii U till it's released, haha. Just not that many games that appeal to me.
I'm hoping for a bundle, though I'm aware it's likely not to happen.
Ditto. They did a really, really good job with it.
It's significantly better with friends. I didn't get into it till after I started playing with my best mate and my boyfriend.
This is fantastic news! No wonder everyone loves NISA. :D
