Or else, make Vaas as the main playable protagonist in a Far Cry 3 prequel game. That'll be dope.

Cry Engine 2 wasn't multi threaded but Cry Engine 3+ are all multi threaded.
And Crysis for consoles was made using Cry Engine 3. And the Remaster will use presumably Cry Engine 5.
And yes, Cry Engine is very demanding.

There's an analysis, even Xbox One X struggles to maintain 30fps with Crysis. And the Xbox version is not even the full blown Cry Engine 2 variant but rather made using the console optimized Cry Engine 3.
