I actually think "you" just hyped Afrika more than I remember anyone since 2006. ;)
For those of you that beat games faster than the "average gamer":
You are a special breed that is truly gifted when it comes to dominating a game. However... there are MANY people that play games at their own leisure or have busy lives that require playing a game in many sittings. I'm pretty sure claims of playing through Uncharted in 6 hours a completely off base. I have played through it 3 times and it is NOT a 6 hour game.
If someone TRULY has played th...
@pppppeach - You sure?
I don't get all this hatred for a "platform". It comes off as a hater of gaming in general - and haters suck.
Back when I had a C64 and my friend had a AtariST we loved getting to go to each other's house and play the games we both had. Same thing happened when I had a TuroGrafx-16 and he had a Genesis. Neither of us cared what the specs of the boxes were... it was about having fun.
So what kills me is I know another pers...
I played it. It was fun. (In the tone of Flight of the Conchords' "Robots".)
Hands on at PAX had me wondering how this game WON'T succeed. The tools are not as limiting as you suggest. There are mini-games with high scores. The levels will be rated by the community. Online and offline 4 player co-opetition (need more of these... reminds me of Castle Crashers).
What do you not like about the game outside of story and user generated content?
I was at PAX and got to play LBP. The level being shown was not "dark". The video quality if VERY lacking. There's plenty of detail on the screen and easily visible in person... There is a (wooden?) character with springy arms riding atop of the Skulldozer. It is up to the players to just stay alive as the it literally crashes through the set - leveling everything in its path. Pretty impressive as the Skulldozer takes up the entire left height of the screen. :)

I have to agree with you. This is hardly a review.
Here are some things to consider next time they write a review:
1. Mention the ability to turn the rumble off entirely, system wide, via the PlayStation button menu. This essentially turns the DS3 back into a SIXAXIS. This should be comforting news for non-rumble fans once the SIXAXIS controllers dry up and only DS3s are available. There are plenty of gamers out there that are fine without rumble and feel it does...
"and who really played online games on the dreamcast anyways?"
Perhaps you forget Phantasy Star Online? You really can't dismiss it...
For that matter, I remember playing many games online via the Dreamcast. Not sure how Microsoft is getting credit for this by you. Just because they provided the modem and Windows CE, doesn't mean they provided the online codebase or the games. Did it really take Microsoft for a console to be playable online? I think no...
Not so funny...
I think you are confusing the difference between Apple including BD drives in their machines and purchasing an external BD drive, plugging it into your Mac and using Toast.
Macs certainly do Blu-ray. But perhaps you were just being sarcastic.
First let me say... Racers certainly is not a strong single player game. But it can be quite the party game. Getting 3-4 people playing and unlocking all the different modes is quite fun.
Now that I have more than 4 controllers due to a recent DS3 purchase, I'll certainly go back for 5 player mayhem. :) Has anyone player Racers with the max 7 players?
Keep the new PSN games coming PixelJunk!
Place me in the WiiSP-DS-PS360 category.
Time and a larger library will tell if the iPad can hang with the big boys of handheld gaming, but people are getting out of hand here by bashing anything Apple anymore.
How many people have been doom-sayers of the Macintosh plaform since the original iMac and the advent of OS X?
How many articles have been written about the initial launch of the iPod and how it would fare in an already established MP3 market?
How many of you were critical of the iPhone ...
