it doesnt.
look at the Hori stick for example. It's a perfect way to play fighting games on a console. Yet the buttons are mapped differently than on the Arcade... does it make any problems with performance.. no.. it doesnt..
maybe preference..
but actual skill does not need proper mapping and such.

I needed to have more control with FPS games on the PS3.
I was desperate..
so i bought it at Bestbuy.
Even though it's wired.. the cords are long enough.
The response time is perfect.
Plus there is frag mode.. in which you can dial the sensitivity of the mouse instantly
bought it for Unreal Tournament.
I give it a 9/10
still... the 360 controller is just as good.
The resistance force when moving the 360 analog sticks makes it very accurate.
the PS3 analog is to too long and has doesnt have a concave top which makes it less accurate.. Plus the resistance in the PS3 analog stick is way to sensitive..and i'm talking about the resistance force.
The PS3 triggers are flat with out any grooves which makes your fingers vu...
I'll just have to say.
If you don't own a MGS4... you don't have a Ps3.
