No more to say...just plain wrong.
Dont know who wrote that blog/news post, but the servers are STILL NOT ONLINE yet. Just checked and they are not accessible.
My bet is the post is either left over BS from the Beta, or someone telling what they THINK the probs will be when the servers do come online.
I call over ambitious blogger on the source! Nuff Said.
Thats too funny.
I dont think this is a PS3 vs Xbox thing. We must remember the devs make the decision about what they think will fly and wont fly. If you have very good algorithms for streaming data off the disk then you might not need to store the game on the disk. If for some reason you cant stream from the disk then you might opt as DMC to have a hard drive install.
IMHO probably could have been done differently and the devs will make note of this going forward.
OMG its a PSP for heavens sake. Maybe they couldnt stuff that much on the UMD, who knows. Just go enjoy the friggin game.
Killzone 2 is a beast, as far as the Xbox and GOW2 (I think PS3 had most of the visual elements that they are hoping to bring to XB360 with Gears with Heavenly Sword. The amount of enemies on the screen of course was much greater than anything the XB360 has ever been able to do.
WE all know that PS3 is a much more powerfull machine than XBox360.
Give me thousands of people on the screen all with their own AI, ummm like Heavenly Sword and then I will have something to say.
Remember....
A. This is WorldWide
B. This is only for 2007
C. I think the article did say this IS units sold to consumers, so its not clear if its overstock/warehouse numbers to Walmart or Target.
D. The xbox nums were taken from their comment on total for 06-07, subtracting 06 numbers.
If Sony did sell more PS3's based on the criteria above, its just proving what the Sony execs said all along. Dont hate the players, hate the game.
You can do the same thing on PS3 as well. Play the console first them speak on it.
Now start paying attention in class while the teachers talking and stop surfing N4G and posting stupid responses.
I might be wrong but I think...when watching DVD or BD's it doesnt, but depending on the game, it will go dormant like other controllers.
1. If the gmae console /game is not communicating with the controller, it will go dormant (This is a fact, try turning on the controller without the game on)
2. If its not this way, this can currently be done in software, so that the system sees inactivity for a long period of time and automatically tells the controller to go d...
Too many inconsistences with reviewers today. We should mark the date down when a reviewer comes out and gives a TRUE review and stops kissing one console makers ass!
You all know what I am talking about.
If its not one thing its another....
This is the funniest thing I have read to date. Notice how its under the DS section of that website....
all ps3 owners keep your eyes open for the crap like this....
These are not the droids you are looking for!
Well, I dont think Xbox owners care, but then again...does the consumer who is busy consuming product really care about the nuances of the market place? I mean really.
The facts of the situation are this... PS2 and DVD, there was an impact. The ability to use the DVD medium for storage meant something and had its own affect on game development and the gaming industry.
PS3 and BluRay, ummm, DITTO.
Where does that leave Xbox 360 - no where its curren...
Do you really think MS would allow the Xbox brand to be split by letting Toshiba release a branded one? I would vote Never.
Just because Toshiba had hand in making the HD-DVD standard - thats the gayest thing I have heard.
Yeah I like the previous comment about the RROD being the trade in program for the fabled Ultimate.
Well the rumors for CES next week are filled with speculation of the Xbox 360 Ultimate. Supposedly a machine with 320gb HD, and built in Wifi as well as HD-DVD player. So lets look at the break down.
100.00 for HD DVD player. This is cheap considering 130.00-179.00 (Price Range of HD-DVD outboard add-on during 2007)
450.00 for Xbox 360 currently with 120gb HD
100.00 Wifi Adapter
100.00 320 gb HD (This is just a cheap estimate)
750.00 Total. S...
As long as we dont have to pay to play online, I dont think this would be a bad idea. Instead of nickel and diming for games, have us pay like 5.99 a month for 2 downloads a month, and 9.99 for 3 or something. Who knows.
Loaded the game and ummmm, there is no patch.
