I had a love/hate relationship with the stealth in MGS4 as although there was some really cool stuff like octocamo which made it fun to try stealth it was also too easy to get spotted by the enemy. Which forced you to get into shooter situations, I wasn't that much fun when the only way you could sneak by the enemy was by lying on the floor and doing the worm.
I wouldn't say that was an achievement considering that it's only been out for 3 months, although that is a fantastic video.

It really isn't the most ambitious as it is just improving on a 9/10 game, the most ambitious belongs to newer games going up against the big ones.

I would guess so as there is the USA international team in it but I expect it would be hard to find compared to the games based on tedious American sports.
No, developers will realise that making poor games to fill a gap could ruin them. Most developers love the games that they make and think that their games get unfair treatment. In cases where they don't think their game was up to scratch they will usually cite some developmental hinderance and releasing is the only way they can recoup at least a little bit of their losses. I don't think that games are just being released for the hell of it.

I think that nopunctuation sums it up perfectly, and I agree planes are a must. They were one of the best parts of San Andreas and it made no sense removing them.
