Lunatic!
Currently, SC's ship handling looks a handful. Elite: Dangerous' ship flies great. Hope SC's handling model improves upon release.
Haters gonna hate.
Now, I'm getting my space sim fix with Elite: Dangerous while waiting for 2016's SC Squardron 42.
15 more hours to play this game ... can't wait!!!
Love the eye-popping visuals of ACU ... and of course, Elise & Bishop. ;P
ACU ran smoothly on my i5-970 setup at max. settings 1080p. Love the visuals!
Same here. I'm a guy.
AC1: Almost finished it but became repetitive button meshing.
AC2: Only made it through 1 hour. Dull.
AC3: Got 5 hours into it. Nice cinematics, but tired of all guys affair.
AC4: Another 5 hours. Refreshing ships but got bored soon.
ACU: Finished the game in 25 hours! For the first time, I finished the game 'coz (1) I want to know how Arno & Elise ends and (2) the thousands of unique NPCs just make the city come alive, (3) the tactical element of each ...
Same here.
I was bored with literally almost every other game, except RPGs.
Boring - Assassin's Creed series, Bioshock series, Alan Wake, Aliens: Isolation, BF3, COD
Engaging - Dragon's Age series, Mass Effect series, Bound by Flames, Kingdom of Amalur, Witcher series, BF2, Elite: Dangerous
DA:I will definitely be my GOTY!
I've not had any major problems since day 1 on my i5-970 setup.
They way they re-create the Paris of 1790s coupled with the lively, interactive, thousands of NPCs ... personally, I feel its revolutionary!
For best performance, use Nvidia's PC-settings guide:

Other than the occasional 3s freeze, no other significant problems. It runs fine on my i5-970 setup.
I think it is an amazing game!
Exactly!
I think it is an amazing game. You just need high-end hardware to run it. If you don't meet Ubi's minimum requirement, don't complaint. I met their system requirements and didn't have any game-breaking issues.
Other than the occasional 3s freeze, I didn't notice any other significant problem on my i5-970 setup. I'm actually very impressed with the game's living-breathing Paris - thousands of interactive AI NPCs. Its an amazing game!
That's a wise recommendation.
Meanwhile, keeping my fingers crossed as the first 4 hours of ACU seems smooth on my GTX 970 rig.
I hope GRID will be in Asia for PC soon.
I hope GRID will eliminate the need for expensive consumer GPUs.
I'd rather have a subscription-based GRID system, where you pay a rate based on the quality of the visuals you demand of a game, and per game rather than per month etc.
We don't need big and hot gaming PCs at home if GRID works.
Already playing it.
Personally, I'm glad the emphasis of Elite: Dangerous is not so much on PvP battles, as I enjoy more of the exploration feature of the game.
Having fun on the Beta of Elite: Dangerous. Think I'll be spending a lot of time flying around the 400-billion-stars in the Milkly Way of Elite: Dangerous. This space sim looks gorgeous, felt authentic and is extremely well-optimsed for PC. I'll be having a lot of fun here till Star Citizen hits in 2016.
That's why coming from being a PS3 & Xbox 360 gamer to being a PC gamer, I ain't going back to PS4 & Xbox One. I hate the low framerates and low resolutions!
My 970 enabled me to play at max. settings with TXAA at very playable framrates after the latest patch. No glitching, except for occasional 3 sec. delays.
Lovely visuals!
Glad I upgraded from the 670 to 970, just for ACU & DAI.
