tbh, im not a graphics whore - its the story that appeals to me, looks amazing
but am i the only one that thaught uncharted was at best an average game? i loved the climbing and exploring, but the gunplay and enemys were dire (not to mention the story xD) - dying constantly from enemys a mile away pissed me right off. here's hoping this ones a bit better in this department - then we might have an ace game on our hands

Not seen too much from LBP, but is it not just like a 2D(ish) version of Garrys Mod?
And will it have pre built maps or what? is it all user created content?
in the uk its exactly the same - we end up paying like £180 for the damn thing, which is around $360usd = rip off.
Oz aren't the only ones that end up getting ripped off, it happens here too.

This may be the case, but i seem to find that alot of games a simply rehashes of one another, (oddly enough halo3 is tho)- whereas people keep adding/changing the shooter. Bioshock and mass effect are hardly exactly the same game are they? Plus you also have to remember that the 360's main demographic is the 18-28 year old AMERICAN MALE. i doubt most american males (serious internet users aside) have even played a j-rpg, or a colourful platformer. This game is still "yet to be released" in england. I hate having to wate an extra 4 months for the exact same version you yanks get... it cant be that hard to change the region encoding.
looks to me like its trying to stalk into battlefields territory. The only thing i can see that it has going for it is the graphics - and they aint everything.
I hope i'm proved wrong but the demo was poor.
QTEs aren't a bad thing, they keep people on their toes and always watching - in re5 i'd always drift off when one of the cut scenes were too hammy. The last game by quantum dream was essentially one giant QTE and i loved that game. I agree with you that QTEs are evolving, but i can also see why people hate them (rewatching scenes is not ftw)
