COD Series is still going strong. As for SOCOM, they have one more shot with me with Confrontation. I hope they do what the say they're going to do and go back to their roots. A lot of people are saying this is the make or break.
ON TOPIC:
This game will get 100% attention from me next month. I like battling humans that only 2-3' verticals rather than 10'.

I remember getting this for Christmas and playing Asteroids for hours! I think I still have mine somewhere.
About 5 years ago I was on the PS2 playing SOCOM, enjoying it immensely. I was talking to my friend, asking him why he hadn't been on lately. He said he had been playing a better game on the PC.
I said no way in hell there was a better game than SOCOM! SOCOM rules!
I went over to his house and it turned out to be Battlefield 1942. It was so awesome I went out and bought a PC that week.
I play consoles and PC, but nothing beats the WASD keyboard/mouse combo..

I'm really wanting to get a PS3 soon. The #1 reason I want a PS3 is the SOCOM series. I really wish Confrontation wouldn't have been pushed back because now I'm stalling my purchase again. I'm also wondering if there's going to be a price drop.
I'm not all about graphics (hence SOCOM). It's all about gameplay or games in general for me.
It's cars now.
But I'm just waiting for the right time to buy.
I'm sure that there's a ton of people like me not interested in all the bells and whistles PS3 has to offer currently. Just give me 40GB. Anyone who's interested in all the other BS has already bought one by now.
Until then I guess I'll just have to wait.

but I couldn't pass on this game after playing the demo. I'm really enjoying it. Almost as good as CoH.
I thought for sure there was an online acheivement for screaming at the top of your lungs after dieing. It's pretty popular on some games.
I'm not surprised that it received such a great score. I'm not much of a RTS fan, but I might have to pick this up.
I thought the first article wasn't newsworthy what-so-ever. This is the same. Just an opinion article.
