Very simple, no console without 3rd party can be a primary console.

But ps one dominated and ps2 dominated even more. You could say that Sony learned their lesson with ps3 and shouldn't make the same mistake.
But going by your same argument, Sony has more chance to release ps5 in two years despite alienating pro owners, than MS or Nintendo that have NEW consoles this year.
But, thats precisely the thing, they basically did NOTHING for the WiiU in the last 18 months, why didnt they focused on making the switch better?
As a console its very deficient, but as a handheld is very good. in reallity its a powerful handheld that can be pluged to your tv.
