I've been through a few but they had to be replaced because of damage and not because of unreliability.
My last one went out because I had a puppy in my lap while playing online and wouldn't you know it...he chewed through the cord.
It works well enough for being free and ensures that every 360 owner can chat online.

I've got the original and it works OK well enough. Just wish that MS would *gasp* allow some decent third-party wireless sets.

Yeah, there's no reason for XBLA titles to not get permanent price drops after they've been up for a while. Seems like only a handful have had that happen so far. Sales are the best way to go though because they generate 'buzz'.
