Linearity is not the porblem, it's lack of gameplay. The Order 1886 was an example of the anti-game what usually comes rolling around the launch of a new generation.
Max Payne 3, The Last of Us, Uncharted - all great.
I would like a game to feature gameplay one of these days.
Both Tomb Raider's exclusivity and Street Fighter's exclusivity are disgusting to behold.
At a time when the look of the games seems to be the main agenda of this generation, I'm ok with this physics engine "gimmick."
But i would say this IS a gameplay feature, online or not.
Be a true game and get all 3 consoles.

Sony have the money to do whatever they want for their games division. It's the most successful thing they do now, if they wanted a cloud infastructure like Azure's they would build one.

I don't see Sony completely ignoring the possibility. Once people get used to the shiny graphics of the exclusives of both consoles (which could take years) they will finally want gameplay innovation. Hopefully the market reacts to this so others will copy. E.g. look how many open world games we have post-GTA V!
If it is gaming's jazz and sells well, Sony will do the same thin...
