It sets a much worse precedent if they don't change it. The ending was piss poor. A 10 year old could have wrote better. If that's the standard for storytelling in gaming then games will never be considered art.

Firstly I don't think any team based FPSs make good e-sports. The only way they can work is if they have a central point of action for the spectators to focus on, eg. a flag for capture the flag.
Battlefield 3 has no such mode. The closest would be rush, which is significantly worse compared to CtF. Two mcoms make the action hard to follow, and the fact that they are stationary makes more boring action.

Yes. When it gets to the point where console games are inferior in the pc version in terms of gameplay, not just graphics then it is time for an update. Battlefield 3 is a perfect example.
Don't play this game with a walkthrough, it's so much more rewarding if you don't.

There are far more quality PC exclusives than console exclusives, they just aren't hyped as much. On top of that all multiplats are vastly superior on pc.
