Overall i have to say Microsoft's conference was pretty good. Sadly they did not hit it out of the park. No real surprises or killer new IPs. I think they put themselves in a weak standing at the moment, Sony could really capitalize on this.
I think this is stating the obvious. Of course if your competition releases something of higher quality at the same price you would be forced to drop your own price. 399 would be very nice, yet i think 499 is the best assumption for the time being. Consider how consumer friendly microsoft is, i dont think they would go for a 599 price tag with the state they are in. I can agree, this is the mark of a new era for the xbox brand- "The Spencer Era" If not hit on properly, it could be the final nail in their coffin. Sony is coming too strong with the tech (Pro + PSVR) and the gaming content that xbox cannot afford to loose much more ground.
Im very interested in the combat, i just hope its not a very repetitive game, looks like they could run the risk of a lack of variety to keep it feeling fresh.
They need to stick to their promised 2017 titles and give us some new IPs as well. This is a very big E3, if Phil doesnt catch xbox up now i doubt they ever will. Sony has so much content on the table its overwhelming. Now Sony has to follow up and give us dates!

This is Phil's time to shine, this is the E3 where he establishes his xbox brand. Scorpio is his console and these will be his games.
I wonder how they will tie the two different mythologies together (Greek and Nord). I hope they handle that part correctly, the over-arching plot could be on an even more epic scale if they hit the nail on the head.
The big question is can Microsoft step out of their comfort zone and do it right? New Ips will be welcomed, but they have to be able to create that magic of a brand new universe.
Depends on what he means by "save". In terms of sales im sure it will perform just fine. In regards to scores, overall it has done great for a game. Maybe not great for a gears game considering its currently at an 84 meta, but great nonetheless. In comparison, i dont think one could say its turn the tide as far as quality.
